My 370 definitely pulls harder off the line than my 350 ever did, even after bolt ons and 150lbs of weight reduction... the 275 wide tires are a significant improvement over the 245's.... and the suspension is set up for more weight transfer to the rear. Those two things alone make a big difference....

You will probably lose some on the low end. Free flowing intake and exhaust on NA motors will push the torque curve higher.

I bet your friend is a real Mario Andretti behind the wheel if your 2wd car that weights the same with only slightly more torque is able to pass his awd at less than 15 mph. Or should I have used Danica Patrick since he drives "girly car"

It's ok that Danica Patrick drives a girly car, because he is really a hot girl.

It is definitely faster, scarier and more exciting than the 370z, but a generally un-fun driving experience. the clutch is heavy. The steering is heavy. The shifting is heavy AND notchy. There is hardly any steering feedback. There is snap oversteer which gets you from full power to bogging quicker than you can respond......or spinning out if you turn traction control off. At 50k miles the targa top squeaked over every bump. The chassis was not as stiff as the Z. At low speed it sounds like....well Jeremy Clarkson said this best; "someone threw a bunch of spanners (wrenches) into the engine". Oh... I forgot.... the interior is cheapy plastic. The Corvette is so infamous for its cheap interior that I forgot to mention it.

If I can get my 370z, which is already modded in quite a few ways, down to a 12.5 second quarter mile, it will be superior to the Corvette in every aspect except "chick magnet" status.

A little bit off topic, but I wonder if the revisions made to the '08 version made any improvements to the general feel of the car. Even though the C6 may not be as fun to drive as the Z, it still pulls very respectable numbers handling wise, if not better. About the "infamous cheap interior", I think that you are referring to the C5 version, right? The C6 interior is not BMW, but the materials are pretty decent IMO.

If you don't like the way the car feels down low...don't drive it there.....i don't shift until 5k anyway and thats just driving around town. Its not boring.

I test drove both a brand new 08 350z and a new 370z and the 370 felt a lot quicker, even off the line..

Mine was an '08 and I waited to buy one of the first because of the revisions.. They did help. Better steering rack, new transmission etc but you can't hide the fact that it's a fat tired, long wheelbased car with the turning radius of the Queen Mary. It wasn't a bad handler at all. It just plain felt heavy in almost every area even though it's lighter than the Z. Interiors were improved somewhat and really quite liveable from '08 on, but the Cheap seats were a real turn-off.
