i've had great luck with the V12's also, and they are avaliable in multipul sizes if you want to go bigger. i'm going with a 245/40/19 fr. and a 305/30/19 rear next tire change.

That much stagger would cause a lot of unwanted understeer FYI

+1 for the hankooks.. Real great tire for the money

+2 for hankook... they need like a 2 to 4 week break in period to really get sticky. But once they are broken in... the can hang through some hard ****.

if you are just driving on the street and not pushing it, the cheapest will do. they all have to pass safety standards.

:iagree:
I was thinking a 265/305 might be better.
I'm going to be setting myself up with a set of the V12s as well pretty soon.

really? should get the DW's at least... no? :)

I've got some OEM's with 12k on them

Apparently the difference in cost between an 18" and a 19" is ridiculous.

I would not mind picking up a set of theses, but they don't make 'em in 305s. :ugh2:

I might be second thinking the 305s though in light of some of the reading I've been doing though. It seems that, even though they might fit on our stock Sport wheels, it's likely that we aren't getting to use all of the rubber that's available due to the pinched nature of the setup.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, and interestingly enough, 20s are cheaper that 19s!

I think 265/305 would still be far too much stagger for my liking.

These tires are for a beater, not the Z. I just put back tires on the Z @ 12k.....

I disagree. I have Nankang NS-II's on my 400HP Z32 300ZX TT and they are great. On my second set now...... Great tire for the price! Especially if you are on a tight budget. But if you can afford better def go that route... I'd def get them if they came in Nismo sizes. But am planning on getting some RE11's for my Z34 instead.

FYI I am pretty sure they do come in Nismo sizes. I found some on ebay a few months ago. I didn't buy them but they were definitely advertised with the Nismo tire specs.

Try federal ss595 pretty damn cheap and good reviews. I'm planning to test them out when my tires go bald
