Do you have a 2nd car?

Im about to buy my Z. I was going to sell/get rid of my current car, which is a ford focus. But then I was thinking maybe I should keep the focus and use it for such things as when I go to the beach/gym etc, so that I dont get my Z alll dirty.

So, how many of you have a cheaper 2nd car to use?

I only have the Z

I had a 01 Subaru Forester but the motor let go right before 200k so I leased a Nissan Versa SL. Once this lease is up I will be buying my moms 06 Civic and that will be my new DD. In this part of the country a DD is almost a must, that and the Z is not very practical for everyday use.

I DD my Z through anything. It even endures the gym.

i have a lightly modded G35C for daily tasks. if you can, keep the beater for your daily needs. for me, it's not worth getting dings and crap while at the stores and such. it also snows where i live and that means road is filthy with salt. car can handle it, but i dont like getting my toy car dirty. also i have 2 kids so i need the rear seats. :icon17:

i dont even use my G on the weekends to go to the stores. i use my honda fit for that since i care about my G too...

I also have my Trans Am, 1997. But it doesn't get driven much. I have it in mind to be a collector. Only 34,000 miles on her. Red with red leather...supercharged.

So you have a DD for your Z and a DD for your DD. Must be nice money bags LOL!!!!

I got my chevy duramax... Usually drive that to work and tow the toys around.. The truck cost double the Z though :/

pedZ 01-25-2012 09:57 AM

The Z is a toy/weekend car for me. I daily drive a F-150. If you can swing the extra cost (insurance, maintenance, etc.) associated with a second car I say do it.

Ummm... pics? :yum:

My Z was my DD. Now my 5.0 is. But I have access to a few other cars if needed so it's not that big of a deal.

My other car has been in the shop since early September. The Z is my every day reliable car.

PapoZalsa 01-25-2012 10:15 AM

I have a Ford Ranger my DD and the old lady has a Mazda CX-7 for the family. Most of the time at least I will have two cars.

I have a tuscan sun 2012 altima 2.5s as well.

Vince 01-25-2012 10:21 AM

2007 Toyota Tundra for winter DD and towing the toys...

Masa 01-25-2012 10:51 AM

Z is DD for warm weather and sunny days. Altima comes out when it rains or snows or when its too cold for the tires to get any grip.
