Got Mine a week ago (failure that is) 2009 with 27,000 miles revision B. Part has been back ordered for over a month already. Not ETA on when it'll be available either. Also courtesy parts claims to have them but when I called the do not have any in stock.

:roflpuke2: Maybe it was some one here at the 370Z.com. Or most likely a Mustang owner. :bowrofl:

That, and the Canadian dollar is at par value now... wow!

The hidden cost of health care perhaps.

How has a 30%+ increase in CAN$ effected y'all. Do you actually have more purchasing power? In Bellingham Washington Canadians are all over the place buying US goods.

No, we've been getting ripped off like this for 40 years.

Pathetic.

When the dealer replaced my steering lock they did not have to reprogram my keys. Don't let em charge you for that. The steering lock has nothing to do with the key programming.

Hey guys, I appreciate the information and everything but let's try to keep this thread to statistics only cool? There are a few threads out there with lots of discussion on this issue. Thanks! :tiphat:

By the way we already have 15 documented occurances of the failure in this thread alone. Nissan needs to see this

Yeap, people need to report the problem to Nissan and all the emails that have been posted.

I have written to all of them. their reply is "this is the first time we hear about that problem" or Nissan of NA telling me they are making a file because they don't have enough comp.laints to issue a recall or TSB.

cossie1600 01-27-2012 07:14 PM

go straight to NHTSB. you have a better chance of seeing god than getting nissan to do the right thing

i ordered the revD last friday and got an eta of yesterday...then received a call from nissan this morning saying that the part is on its way from japan and will be in north carolina on the 26th of february and then shipped to cali (puente hills nissan) by march..

i was hoping to be proactive and switch out my revA before it fails cuz my z is daily driven

just fyi: #48700-JF00D
list price: $718.94
discounted price: $546.39 +tax

kenchan 02-01-2012 04:19 PM

$546 is not bad at all. that's quite a long lead-time to ETA. :(

i think baer got them cheaper but he has hook ups maybe?
