I ordered this from that seller awhile ago and it's a nice piece. Satin aluminum finish and fit perfectly.

Anyone tried one of these kits? One of the guys in the local club got one but I never heard how everything worked out. It's a lot of dress up for $95.

Cool looking but I've not talked to anyone who's done it.

If you have harnesses... get some elastic shoelaces and tie the latches back a-la euro endurance racing. Will be posting a full thread with pics sometime.

Under 200 for the vents, materials and bay time.

How complicated was the install? Did you DIY?

Huck 05-24-2014 04:42 PM

Not complicated, just measure well, then trace out the holes with a piece if paper and cut. Seal them in with silicone or something similar.

Zdayz 2014!!

:iagree: The measuring is the trick of it, because you have 1 chance to get it right & 2 changes to muck it up ;)

Not sure if I want to risk it and botch the not too old paint job on my hood.

Botching the paint is not a problem as the flange on the vents will cover any edging trouble like chips or jagged cuts (within reason of course). Getting the vents aligned properly depending on how you lay them out can be a time consuming head-ache & be a real problem if you do not lay them out correctly & cut it, because if they are off, you & everyone else will know it. ;)
