Only car or second car?
I'm curious as to who the average Z owner is? We had a poll inquiring about the age base of Z owners. Now I am curious if most 370 or 350Z owners drive the Z as their only car or if the Z is a weekend/fun/extra car. Let's see!
Being I started it, my 370 roadster is my second car. I also have a Nissan Armada, black as well and also a 2010. This is my 3rd Z, but my first in 15 years. I love driving this car sooooooo much, as I know you all do as well!
How about a catagory for daily commuter car & have other cars for weekend fun? IMO more horsepower the better and to get 500+HP in Z cost too much. However, the Z makes a great commute car if you have winding roads on your commute route. :ughdance:
BTW- I'm on my seventh Z car... I love these cars ... Enjoy the ride !!! If I was stuck with one car and carrying or towing wasn't an issue ... It would have to be the Z for sure. |
My Z is a daily driver in fair weather and a weekend fun car, I try to make it to a handful of track days/auto-x days a year, mostly in the garage this time of year though.
Fun only.:p
08 Honda Pilot as the "daily", z as the nice day car.
But when you work from home 24/7, theres no such thing really as a "daily driver". |
It's my fun car. However I try to drive it as much as possible from the end of April to the end of October. Gotta make up for the winter storage separation, it's hard on both of us. :p
I only need the Z
During the warmer months I try to make it my daily driver unless it rains. In the colder months it becomes a weekend car I take out once every 2 weeks or so.
It's my daily driver when the weather is nice or I don't have to transport anything. I drive a yacht(Denali XL) :icon14: or my girl's jetta when i have to.
The Z is my daily driver, I try to drive it as much as I can
I avoid car pooling as much as possible so I can drive my car lol. Now with the newborn however, I'm sure I'll be making more seat time in the wifes 328xdrive now that we're 3. However... the wife said sometimes when we are going places, we can just take both cars...rediculous in a way...but she understands my love for this car lol |
For fun!!! I do drive it to work sometimes though..
Yup, this is my DD during the Spring/Summer months, but now its a once in a while. :(
interesting break down of premium members and those who dd their z, not what I would have initially expected but makes sense I guess.
03 Toyota Tacoma as my DD, and Z as my fair weather/weekend car:tup:
Only car for now, eventually would like to make it my fun :driving: car
only car but want a gtr too
DD year around.
DD year round also. If I need a second practical car down the line, might just get a Focus or mazda3, inexpensive, decent driving and hatch practicality. If i had/could aford a second practical car, maybe I could SC my z....
The Z is my Daily Fun Car for the Summer.
 |
The Z is my weekend end car. For work, I got a '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee. For 4wheeling, I got '08 Power Wagon that also pulls my camper. Plus 2 bikes. One of them, I'm putting a super charger on it.
For me the Z is the only car I "Own" but I have a company truck that I drive daily. I pretty much just drive the Z for fun. Before buying the Z a few months back I had not owned my own vehicle in about 5 years. The last car I had was my S15 that I sold when I moved from NM to CA......boo CA laws.
Our ZR is our 3rd/weekend/fun car.
It actually saddens me that I only drive the Z 5-6 weekends per year at the track, :(
I just put street pads and tires back on for the winter so I can drive it on the street, but its too low to clear the speed bumps in the parking lot at the airline job, and with the powdercoating business taking up all of my non-flying time, I don't really drive anywhere else, other than the UPS store to ship stuff, and thats in the SUV. |
00 Frontier for daily and Z for my weekend fun car.
Fun only
Have a daily driver. My Z looks perfect. ;)
Z is the DD for now. Where I live, the weather is perfect for it. If I still lived on the east coast it would be a different story.
Z is my weekend / nice car
I also have a truck but I just use that for dump runs and hauling dirt bikes..
My Z is for sunny day driving only. So far it hasn't seen a rain drop. I got it as a retirement gift to myself. My DD is a 2008 Toyota Tundra, talk about a HUGE difference in vehicles. I plan on having my Z forever and passing it on to my son someday.
The Z is my driver when I'm just driving from place to place. If I have to haul people and stuff, then the Avalanche has to get out.
I have 2 cars and I find myself driving the Z more.
What do I pick!? lol |
Drive the 370Z maybe 3 or 4 times a month ... have an Altima I beat up to get to and fro from work and if the weather is shitty on the weekends.
The Z is my DD and I am not looking forward to snow whatsoever. I've had an S2K previously and that was horrible in winter conditions. I might look into a used WRX soon for the offseason and garage the Z.
The Z was my only car until I put 15,000 miles on it in 5 months. Now I drive a POS Honda to work everyday and let me tell you, nothing has ever made me miss my Z so much. :rofl2:

Mine is weekend only.
I would drive it more if I would stop working on it.:ugh2: |
Z is my DD, looking to buy a POS for DD, don't like to park my car in mall parking lost or even at work, too many nissan haters down here in Orlando
The Z is more of my DD due to gas mileage lol. But I have a Titan and a Busa as well :)
