LOL Bruce I would say it would attract tickets cause you didn't fix what the ticketed you for the first time.

brucelidat 03-28-2012 12:53 AM

Well, I am parking at the same location Friday and don't have time to fix it by then and don't want a second ticket for the same thing so I thought that might work. Cop goes by, sees the ticket, figures someone else beat him to it, moves along. It'll be a hassle to sort it out if I get a second ticket for the same thing before I get a chance to fix it.

Fire 03-28-2012 12:56 AM

Might work for a couple days but probably not long.:ugh2:

brucelidat 03-28-2012 12:56 AM

man, $80-$90 for these tow hook license plate brackets. Would prefer to have it centered, but don't want the holes, urgh, decisions...

Fire 03-28-2012 12:57 AM

As you can see in my avatar I have the factory holder and a tow hook. Do you have a factory holder?

brucelidat 03-28-2012 12:59 AM

I don't want to drill in though. and I would prefer it a little lower, staying within the black area.

Fire 03-28-2012 01:02 AM

I know what you mean. It took me a couple months to drill the holes for my rear wing. Then I did the front canards and it was easier LOL. You might be able to adjust it down haven't looked at it that close.

brucelidat 03-28-2012 01:06 AM

I might suck ti up and order a tow hook plate bracket. I might just leave it off except for when i go to areas where I know the cops look for that or if I need to show I 'fixed' it.

Fire 03-28-2012 01:09 AM

For a long time I put the front plate of the Vette in the windshield on the passenger side. That might work for you also but no guarantees.:ugh2:

brucelidat 03-28-2012 01:11 AM

Yeah, a **** cop could still ticket me for it, but worth a try.

Fire 03-28-2012 01:19 AM

Might work.

brucelidat 03-28-2012 01:23 AM

I'll try it out and think about the tow hook bracket. Looks like it'll be Stillen if I go that route. The gominigo one is nice because it has adjustable height, but it's almost $100. That's too much for a license plate bracket IMO.

Fire 03-28-2012 01:25 AM

$100 is quite alot to hold a plate.

Fire 03-28-2012 01:37 AM

Well bruce I'm going to get some sleep. Take care :tiphat:

TheGreatOne 03-28-2012 06:26 AM

Morning all :hello:

Eeek, some light flurries this morning, shouldn't stick though. Was planning to park near the train but will park indoors close to work just incase

Might need tires soon, actually been looking at the Nitto NT05. Looks like a sticky, attractive tire. Not many users on here seem to run Nitto though...
