Bad day for my Z...
Yesterday I got an oil change at Amplified Motorsports and they found a screw on one of my front tires :shakes head:
I was enjoying the drive back to my house with fresh oil when and I hear a small rock hit my windshield. The impact didn't sound that bad but after parking I find this on the passenger side of the windshield:

It's smaller than a penny. Will this crack grow with time?

I tried those windshield repair kit, does not work out that good, I think it's because it does not give out enough pressure to press the risen into the crack.

It might get bigger, I will suggest you get it fixed.

:hello: guys

I washed the Z last night, decided to try and not touch it at all so I went to the self wash and soaked in soap water for 10 minutes straight, then high pressure soap, then high pressure clean water, then "clear coat protectant" (anyone know what this is really?) then low pressure "non spot"? Then I just drove off, got home and the car only had a few spots that still had water so I lightly dried and dried inside door seals and hatch...car is shiny, no water spots and barely any touching.

 I like it very much, even though it cost more than I paid for my first 240z. It is getting a workout tomorrow.

This is not what I did with my Z but what I almost did. And it was not today but a few weeks ago.. I was really to embarrassed to tell but I think its worth repeating just as a lesson for others.

I was at my sons house for the Superbowl and things did not go well. Everyone was upset that the Patriots were loosing but one guy was really over the top He started shouting and screaming like a nut case and then..punched the wall! My son has nice teakwood surrounding the doors and he actually dented it! My son told him to stop and he did it again several times!! Damaging it some more! Friggin idiot!!

Well later that night I was driving home and just could not get this incident out of my mind.. It was dark and I came to a rather fast secondary road. I stopped and looked left and then right and then slowly started ahead.. Almost immediately another car flew in front of me at about 60 mph or more.. Had i started up one second earlier I would have been hit in the drivers side by that car...and there would almost certainly have been one less member here....I had not even seen that car coming and I can think either it was hidden by the trees or I was just too distracted.

I guess the moral is "Dont allow distractions to get to you while driving" My fault I admit..and its very embarrassing to tell.. but I post it here so others can learn from my mistake..I was lucky..someone else might not be so lucky..

 It'll last as long as the 240z, or maybe longer. I am using Nikon, and the 80-200 has been with me since 1998.

It's good that you keep your concentration. We always have to aware of those idiotic drivers around us :shakes head:

Passenger window motor and regulator replaced yesterday. Window would not drop down far enough when door is opened. Under warranty.

Heading up the hill for a corn beef and pastrami samwich.

Brave man to use one of those high pressure washers, they aren't good for your finish!

really? I didn't know it could damage the paint. I always have a decent layer of wax on the car but I thought the high pressure stuff at the self wash places was safe.

It's always recommended to use a gentle stream.
