That's one hell of a video. Way too fast for the conditions... but he definitely got lucky and was able to avoid hitting the other cars. Good work there. The Flex was a good example of what not to do... don't stand on the brakes!

But more importantly go slower than you think you need to!

Saw this yesterday.. This guy is a D-bag.. First of all, that looks like snow, not black ice. Second, hes driving way too fast for conditions, and third he's driving in a snowstorm ******* around with a video camera. I wish he would have crashed.

Yet you don't even mention the dumb*** Ford Flex driver?

Yeah I was wondering why there was a camera on during that. They looked like they were moving given the conditions, him and the Flex. The craziest moment in the video was when that big semi just comes barreling through the middle of the lane.

First off, you can't see "black ice" because it is black!

My biggest concern about winter driving isn't my car or my abilities, it is with guys that drive like like this thinking that their 4 wheel drive has magical stopping powers.

Also this is a classic example of psychological projection...it isn't his fault that he was racing a Ford Flex in terrible conditions, it was the other driver's fault for stopping. Seems to be a common theme nowadays...

I am confident in my ability in the snow as well as my WinterSports, but I'm with you, I prefer not to go out on the road if I don't have to because there's always the risk of getting creamed by someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

DUDE OMG! THAT WAS ME!!! HAHAH that was the worst driving experience of my life. I didn't wreck though. went off the road once..pulled to the side of the road by the guard rail and waited for a tow truck that never came. Waited for the roads to clear and finally backed up in the highway and went to a hotel for the night. You cannot drive this car in the winter! That is hilarious you filmed my car haha

yea you can't drive summer tires in snow.... in any rwd car, and you shouldn't drive on summer tires in snow in any car in general. its not the car, its the tires.

huh? I was driving back to North Carolina from leave in Ohio. I looked at the weather and it was fine the entire time I was home. Sure enough, the drive back we got hit hard and 77S was completely messed up. And the Z just couldn't take it. Thank god I didn't crash into anything.

haha yeah. i was using the median where the grass and pavement met to drift my car up the road to try and get to a good patch but that didnt happen. I then drifted all the way back to the right side of the road and sat there for 3 hours before the roads got better. It was a horrible experience. No damage or problems with the Z though afterwards.
