I took my dog in my car once. He's such a big mofo and he just can't find a comfy position. My other dog is way too active to be in the front seat with me. Lol. |
So I finally remembered to pull my Drop Stops out of the truck and try them in the Z. Works perfectly and are barely noticeable. If anyone does notice them, they look factory anyway. The passenger side is a little tight - you actually have to feed it from the front, under the seat controls.

Looks good. I have the same issue in the M35S too.

Hmm, you know..I havent had too much of a problem with dropping crap between my seats, but the few times that I have has been a pain min the arse! I just might pick these up.
|
Worse if u have the iphone... Lol.. Thats why i just leave my bluetooth on and leave my phone in my pocket... Lol...
|
Yeah but if you're wearing basketball shorts and the iphone falls out ... I just keep mine in the cubby above the radio. I guess if yours is fully loaded theres that cup holder. I tried those sticky holders that are supposed to make your phone stay on the dash? No. They made those for slow cars...
Your better off taping your phone to the dash before one of those actually works. |
I think someone posted a link to a manufacturer $30 for those drop stops. Is there any solution cheaper?
|
Haven't drop my iphone down there. but just about everything else i didn't
need to. it's like a vortex or black hole thats sucks stuff down there.. then you have to pull seats forward and vacuum everything out.... i remember a post about what guys use to keep their phones in place... does anyone have a link to it.... i refuse to stick my phone to the windshield |

First time I EVER sat in my Z (at the dealership), I dropped the key between the seats. That was 5 minutes of embarrasment I wish I could have back. |
Here's your inexpensive answer guys! I, too, feel victim to the drop between the seats illness, coins, phone, etc. I lucked up and found the best solution to resolve it. No problem since I put them in. You can find them at Wal-Mart, no less! Less than $10!!
Drop Stop Automotive Car Seat Gap Filler, (As Seen on TV, Shark Tank), 1 unit You can also google it and find other options! Good luck, free from the dropsies!! I will send a photo when I get a chance! |

Yeah a couple of months ago I freaked out and thought I lost my phone and actually ended up buying a new one full price. Come to find out a month later after I got my new phone, I did a deep cleaning inside the Z and under the seat is my old phone. Wasted money.
|
Atleast once a week and the freakin fit is so tight it annoys the crap out of me. Scraped my hands plenty of times digging for it. And totally messes up my seat adjustmemts...one feature I miss from my g35 memory serttings.
|
holy f!@& this happens all the time and it pisses me off lol.
|
Sucks, I did it on my test drive....LOL

Just did it for the first time this morning, man did that suck! LOL
|
I don't see the problem here. I don't screw with my phone while I'm driving. If it drops between the seats, I'll just get it after I park.
I don't understand the attachment to phones these days. Like you can't breath if you don't have your phone in hand. It's getting seriously ridiculous :shakes head: FWIW, I usually plug in my phone for music when I first get in the car. It sits right next to the parking brake. My charger from the center console pocket holds the phone in place. |
i usually drop a zip tie between the seats while working on something... it's black and thin so can't see shitt down there
|
oh wait, that should be in mspint's thread. :p

I have to actually pull over and get out of the car to retrieve it. So annoying!
|
I'm using this neat little piece from Amazon.
Amazon.com: Kenu Airframe - Portable Smartphone Car Mount - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories It will pretty much clamp anywhere. It's a little expensive for such a small piece but it's a really simple design and I like that. |
I'll check out this Kenu holder, I've dropped my phone in between the seats and I had to have my 8 year old son retrieve it, my hand just does not fit in there
|
i got this cushion that goes in between your seat that fixes that issue. i got it for a white elepahnt gift one christmas. its saved me numeral times. its one of those seen on tv items. You can probably get it at any cvs near you

Yeah I accidentally drop my viagra there and it actually ruined my track day with a chick as I was on limp mode. Damnt I should have gotten a pump instead ...oil cooler pump?
|
Yes I love watching Shark Tank with my wife...
Yes these two got a deal! Yes it will solve your problems https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ghTmPQR3Yo |
A quarter fell out of my pocket on the drive home into that area and it's like it entered into an alternative dimension.....
