Dude..once you have animals, they "go along for the ride" regardless of whether you want them to or not! Anything you wear (no matter how much lint rolling you do) is coated with hair. :bowrofl:

:roflpuke2: that is so true. The other day I was like " man I haven't let the dog ride in the car for a while, but there's still dog hair here and there. It travels with you everywhere

say what you want about poodles, but they don't shed. at all. My dogs ride in the back though, now just need something to keep them back there if I need to get out and go in somewhere, lol.

get in car. find open road. punch it. quarters will slide to the back where you can reach them.

I took my dog in my car once. He's such a big mofo and he just can't find a comfy position. My other dog is way too active to be in the front seat with me. Lol.

So I finally remembered to pull my Drop Stops out of the truck and try them in the Z. Works perfectly and are barely noticeable. If anyone does notice them, they look factory anyway. The passenger side is a little tight - you actually have to feed it from the front, under the seat controls.

Looks good. I have the same issue in the M35S too.

Hmm, you know..I havent had too much of a problem with dropping crap between my seats, but the few times that I have has been a pain min the arse! I just might pick these up.

JZNx 02-20-2012 02:14 PM

Worse if u have the iphone... Lol.. Thats why i just leave my bluetooth on and leave my phone in my pocket... Lol...

AhadV 02-20-2012 02:19 PM

Yeah but if you're wearing basketball shorts and the iphone falls out ... I just keep mine in the cubby above the radio. I guess if yours is fully loaded theres that cup holder. I tried those sticky holders that are supposed to make your phone stay on the dash? No. They made those for slow cars...
Your better off taping your phone to the dash before one of those actually works.

EazyD 02-20-2012 07:33 PM

I think someone posted a link to a manufacturer $30 for those drop stops. Is there any solution cheaper?

sonic370 02-20-2012 08:24 PM

Haven't drop my iphone down there. but just about everything else i didn't
need to. it's like a vortex or black hole thats sucks stuff down there..

then you have to pull seats forward and vacuum everything out....

i remember a post about what guys use to keep their phones in place...
does anyone have a link to it.... i refuse to stick my phone to the windshield

happytheman 02-20-2012 09:57 PM

They're like 27 bucks with shipping, not a bad deal. Heck, they'll last forever and you can transfer them to your next car. Aside from a can of Great Stuff, or a pool noodle, I can't imagine anything much cheaper.

First time I EVER sat in my Z (at the dealership), I dropped the key between the seats. That was 5 minutes of embarrasment I wish I could have back.

kenhdcgov 04-02-2015 05:11 PM

Here's your inexpensive answer guys! I, too, feel victim to the drop between the seats illness, coins, phone, etc. I lucked up and found the best solution to resolve it. No problem since I put them in. You can find them at Wal-Mart, no less! Less than $10!!
Drop Stop Automotive Car Seat Gap Filler, (As Seen on TV, Shark Tank), 1 unit
You can also google it and find other options!

Good luck, free from the dropsies!! I will send a photo when I get a chance!

IT'S THE WORST.

Omg. :iagree: PIA to retrieve. Not difficult, just PIA.

icedog2g 04-02-2015 07:54 PM

Yeah a couple of months ago I freaked out and thought I lost my phone and actually ended up buying a new one full price. Come to find out a month later after I got my new phone, I did a deep cleaning inside the Z and under the seat is my old phone. Wasted money.

Z-Girl 12 04-02-2015 08:33 PM

Atleast once a week and the freakin fit is so tight it annoys the crap out of me. Scraped my hands plenty of times digging for it. And totally messes up my seat adjustmemts...one feature I miss from my g35 memory serttings.

Zerocool 04-02-2015 09:46 PM

holy f!@& this happens all the time and it pisses me off lol.

Spooler 04-02-2015 10:36 PM

Sucks, I did it on my test drive....LOL

It won't really work the same for the Z34 but at least you guys might be able to find something that works for you:

It's velcro on both sides and the rear clips for this A/C vent mount were removed so it sits flush

I forgot about this thread, now that I have the Iphone 6 Plus I can't use this custom mount :icon17:

Just did it for the first time this morning, man did that suck! LOL

JARblue 04-03-2015 10:44 AM

I don't see the problem here. I don't screw with my phone while I'm driving. If it drops between the seats, I'll just get it after I park.

I don't understand the attachment to phones these days. Like you can't breath if you don't have your phone in hand. It's getting seriously ridiculous :shakes head:

FWIW, I usually plug in my phone for music when I first get in the car. It sits right next to the parking brake. My charger from the center console pocket holds the phone in place.

kenchan 04-03-2015 11:01 AM

i usually drop a zip tie between the seats while working on something... it's black and thin so can't see shitt down there

kenchan 04-03-2015 11:01 AM

oh wait, that should be in mspint's thread. :p

I agree but I dropped mine right as I started my car LOL so I just got out and worked my hand under the seat and was able to get it. I just recently upgraded to a Bluetooth unit for my Bose system so I'm sure this won't be the last time this happens.

klee370z 04-03-2015 01:20 PM

I have to actually pull over and get out of the car to retrieve it. So annoying!

BC416 04-03-2015 02:00 PM

I'm using this neat little piece from Amazon.

Amazon.com: Kenu Airframe - Portable Smartphone Car Mount - Black: Cell Phones & Accessories

It will pretty much clamp anywhere. It's a little expensive for such a small piece but it's a really simple design and I like that.

lgarcia 04-03-2015 09:07 PM

I'll check out this Kenu holder, I've dropped my phone in between the seats and I had to have my 8 year old son retrieve it, my hand just does not fit in there

shika805 04-04-2015 12:32 AM
