yet another Z totaled (never thought I'd say it)
 

Never thought I'd be the next one to join the long (and expanding) list of totalled Z's. :(

To keep a long story short. Yesterday, I was going south on the road. Another car was making a left from incoming left turn lane lane. He starts creeping very slowly into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way. He was already into my southbound lane as I go into the intersection. I swerve to the right lane to avoid him as he's still creeping into the southbound lanes. the front left of his car clipped the rear left of my car. After he clipped me, the car spun out, hit the traffic light backwards, and ended up with the light post flattening the rear hatch and roof. Fortunately no one was injured. Still waiting for the insurance company claims adjuster to check the car out and make an estimate of repairs or possibly total the car.

My 350 was totaled back in february. I know how youre feeling right about now. Here's to hoping you have a speedy transition between repair/insurance settlement! Good luck man.

Very sorry to hear that Pharm. What matters is that you're ok and no one was hurt. I just wish you luck with your insurance company and that they process this as quickly and as painlessly as possible.
This Z thing must be a curse. I had never been in an accident in over 2 decades of driving till I bought my Z. Its like these cars draw accidents toward them. Keep us posted on what's going on.

Sucks buddy, glad that nobody was injured. However, sorry for your loss if insurance decides to total it.

Dude, that looks pretty bad & the out come could have been much worse.. Thank God your OK & no one else was hurt. The car can be replaced....

Yeah it's totalled. Glad you weren't hurt. I'm specifically glad it was your tail end that made contact with that lamp post rather than the driver's side!

Yeah, the driver side just clipped the other car's front left. Actually the damage from the initial hit wasn't that bad. Dented the door and rear quarter panel and damaged the rear left suspension, but that's all. Most of the damage is when I spun out and hit the traffic light backwards. The light post fell on the car, destroying the rear hatch and denting the roof.

Sucks man, but glad to hear everyone was ok. A car is just a car and it can be replaced. Who knows, you might just end up in a better car next.

I am happy you are OK, but I am fairly certain that Z is a loss. I am very sorry.

So what about the other driver? Did he stop? Did he get cited? Did you kick the crap out of him?

I hate to hear that happened to you Pharmacist. The main thing is that you made it out alive. One thing that can be said about the 370z is that the safety features, including the research and development that Nissan has put into the Z when it comes to safety, really shows.

Glad youre ok, that car is totalled for sure from the looks of it. I sure as HELL hope its the other guys insurance thats covering this????

yeah i hope the other driver stopped and took responsibility for that. there's a lot of drivers now who just creep into their turns without any conviction, and just don't bother looking / caring about oncoming traffic.

glad everybody is okay, hope you get a speedy resolution to everything. if totaled, getting back in a Z, or moving on?

That poor car is done. Thankfully you were ok.

Any input from the other driver? What caused them to drift into your lane like that?

Wow, like others have said good thing you are ok, real good thing! That pole falling on top of the car just scares me.......You thinking about another Z or moving on?
