In Colorado, U.S.A., it's manageable to drive rear-wheel-drive all year around. Of course, all-wheel-drive cars are extremely popular (Audi, Subaru) as well as SUV's (Infiniti FX, Porsche Cayenne, etc.)
If you must have a daily driver for all year in Scotland, there are better choices than a Z.
But, the option of fitting your Golf with snow tires and driving your 370z on better days sounds good.

Yeah my friend has an S3 and I borrowed it for a month. Superb to drive, solves the winter problem but it's a bit dull to look at and lacks the drama and excitement of the Z (the 350 anyway).
I haven't driven the 370 yet but plan to. From what others report though it is similar to the 350 but just slightly better in almost every way?
