I always planned to keep the Clio for 2ish years, and a recent holiday in Florida, where both 350s and 370s are fairly common, has made me eager to get back into a z.

My only concern is the snow issue. I took my 350z out once in the snow and never again. I have winter tyres on the Clio, and even last winter, where the snow lay on the roads for 2 months straight here in Scotland, the Clio was a go anywhere beast.

That would leave 2 options if/when I replace the Clio with a 370: winter tyres form the z (would be best option but after a quick search it seems you need to fork out around £1k+ for winters) or get some winter tyres for the golf (very cheap as 15 inch alloys however the complete lack of safety kit may put me off driving in the ice/snow in the golf). I would never have worried about this as much but the last 2 winters have been pretty horrendous for commuters. Saying that, it's nearly December and I was golfing in short sleeves today, so maybe our winters might be back to normal?!

My other thought was to get an Audi S3, an amazing machine but lacks the flair and character of a z.

I will not be changing until the Spring so have time to think/research/persuade myself I MUST get another Z!

Thoughts all?

Thanks

Pedro
Have you driven a 370z or an S3 yet ? I'd say test-drive them first to help you make a decision.

In Colorado, U.S.A., it's manageable to drive rear-wheel-drive all year around. Of course, all-wheel-drive cars are extremely popular (Audi, Subaru) as well as SUV's (Infiniti FX, Porsche Cayenne, etc.)
If you must have a daily driver for all year in Scotland, there are better choices than a Z.

But, the option of fitting your Golf with snow tires and driving your 370z on better days sounds good.
