Problem solved already. Had a 2 1/2 inch o-ring here. Twisted it in half, slapped it on and it looks perfecto!!!

Here's a quick shot to lend scale all. Super excited to try it out. I must admit that I thought it was going to be a little larger.

As I said before its suprising how big a difference such a little part can make. Shifts feel more direct and precise. Weight is dead on perfect. At first I thought it seemed a bit small (def smaller than expected) but after having it installed and in the palm of my hand it felt magnifico. I cant wait to take her out again tomorrow for another drive:tup: It looks great. Fit and finish get a big:tup: It even threaded down tight into the perfect position. For the price Im BEYOND pleased.

One of our customers came up with a smart idea on how to to keep the shift boot up tight underneath the shift knob.

He used two o-rings and it works perfect. We tried it out and we agree. It's a good solution. If your shift boot is sagging a bit, we would be more than happy to mail you out of few of these o-rings, free of charge =)

By the way, what size are those o-rings out of curiosity?

Is it possible to get one from the previous 'Balanced' Series of knobs? I really liked the look/feel of those in other Z's I rode in. I'd like to have something similar to that.

It was discussed if maybe the hex nut that sits top center could be free floating?
