IT'S IN THE GARAGE!!!!!!!! :vuvuzela: Note: Please forgive the mess on the back table. Still got yard work to do this weekend and other crap to clean up. Also, please forgive the bird poop on the hood of the Solstice, I haven't had time to wash it. |
Nice garage Bonzo:tup: Your Z looks right at home. So how do you like it?? I know you just got it but any mods planned??

First Mod
This weekend my nephew Shandy is going to install the clear bra for me. I'm dropping it off at his shop Friday night so everything can acclimate before he applies it Saturday / Sunday.
Here's a list I have the material for: Full bumper 18" partial hood Partial front fenders Full A-pillars Full rocker panels Side mirrors Partial roof I'm not sure how I'm going to like the partial hood/fenders and partial roof , but the full hood & fenders was WAY more expensive, like twice as much as all the rest of it together. And with the roof, I'm not even sure it's necessary at all. Anyone got any input on that? |

From a physical standpoint I just absolutely love this car. Since I can't say anymore than that yet, I can only do what other's might want to know, which is nit pick. I have looked this thing up and down and I can only find 2 things that I might consider off. #1 is something I expected from reading this forum, which is the paint does have some orange peal. I've seen better and I've seen much worse, so I'm not going to sweat it. It's just lovely fine for me. #2. is the alignment of some of the body panels. It's good, but not perfect. None of them bother me at all except maybe where the hood meets the front bumper. From what I can tell, I actually think it just may be how the panels are made and how the car is. I mean the hood is in perfect alignment with the A-pillars, the fenders and the headlights. It's the bumper that looks like it should go back about 1/8", but, it's already super tight into the fenders, so there is no where to go. So I'm thinking this is just the way it is and to forget about it. Nit picks aside, so far I LOVE it. More to follow..... Quote:

Mod List
Okay, since I sort of have my own dumb useless thread here, instead of making a new one about my saga and plans, I'll just do it here and save the forum from wasted space.
Here is a list of things I am planning to do in the upcoming weeks/months..... Interior: - Window Tint, planning on 20 rear, 35 sides (opinions?) - Hard wire Valentine One - Radio, already bought radio and wires and steering wheel control - Use old radio to make false cover to look like radio is just stock - Back up camera, already bought - Shifter cover to manual style boot, already bought OEM boot - CF wrapped radio console cover - Turn 3 dummy switches into garage door openers, switches already bought - Rear cargo mat, can't find one out there, may try to make one - New thing as of last night, cover up those ugly air bag stickers on the visors Exterior: - Clear bra, material bought, nephew to install this weekend - Tail lights tinted, material bought, nephew to install this weekend. I'm 80% sure I'll like this, but if I don't, then I will look into painting or leaving plain red - Front badge swap, new one already bought - Rear badge swap, waiting to see how front one goes prior to buying - Headlight painting / upgrade, paint inside flat black and add ORBs - Blind spot side mirrors - License plate frame - Valve cap - Wrap actual Ohio license plate with old style graphic because I will NOT have that friggin' stupid childish farm scene on any car of mine. Don't care if it's illegal. That's it for now. I'm sure things will change along the way as I get into it and get the bug. The list is long enough right now, and with the holidays it might take longer than I want. Clear bra first, taillight tint second, window tint third, rest to follow. :driving: |
How much time do you think to finish all those??
And please post pics during process!!  |
