Sometimes sound is all you want, though. My mufflers were $600 and don't add a lick of power, but they sound good. :icon17:

I'm not tracking on your logic.

Has Nissan had a history for warranty blocking drive-lines?

GM will block you for a CAI. What is Nissan's philosophy, and has anyone had their engine replaced, regardless of a minor mod?

Exactly, sound is good enough, but from what I have heard the Berk CB is good, and has NO drone. Thoughts? Will Nissan block my driveline warranty for that?

I know it's not the same question you've asked but BB (Jamaica) got his 7AT replaced under warranty after he installed the GTM stg II SC kit.

It depends on the dealership, some dealerships will overlook your mods unless they directly effect the part you are replacing. Others can go so far as to deny your warranty and submit pictures of your mods to Nissan HQ, incase you ever dispute it.

Very true each dealership is different. I was just giving him one scenario/case.

There is going to be NO warranty implication for a CBE. You start running into a gray area if you mess with the cats/headers.

Just keep your stock exhaust in storage for peace of mind. If you ever need to go in for service it's an easy swap.

Yeah, it looks easy enough. What is the best cb powerwise (I understand on the z you can get an honest 20whp from some?) That has NO! drone?

Drone is a touchy subject. Everyone wants to defend their exhaust, and "drone" can sometimes be subjective.

The FI CBE will give you up to 20whp, but in my experience it drones quite a lot under load.

The Stillen CBE is also good for nearly the same gains. It's quieter than FI. Not really sure on any drone.

Berk should be in the same range power wise and from what I have experienced there is NO drone with just the Berk CBE. I installed b1adesofcha0s' system and rode along / drove it a bit and liked what I heard.

Not really sure on the others. I have seen dyno charts on the NISMO CBE showing around 8-12whp, and I know for a fact there is absolutely zero drone with those systems. The only downside is they aren't quite as loud as the other options.

For a DD I lean towards Berk or NISMO depending on the sound you want.

Yeah my Berk CBE has no drone and sounds great over stock as well. The butt dyno definitely felt the gains as soon as it was installed

win!

Can you order instantly, or is there a wait period while it is built?

PS. Does ANYONE know if we will get 2012 370Z's any time soon with a NAV? Dealer says no.

Yeah I think there are plenty of vendors on here who have them in stock. As far as I've heard about the 2012's, it varies by area. Some already have a couple 2012's on the lots while others have none at all.

My dealer says they don't exist.
NO 370z for 2012 with NAV, Touring, Sport, 6M. Cannot even be ordered.

m4a1mustang 10-31-2011 10:48 AM

Sounds like you need a new dealer.

:iagree:

Shouldn't be too long before they're on the dealer lots everywhere.
