based on sale numbers alone, the 370 is not nearly as common of a car as most others... maybe where you live, but you happen to be one of the few on here that lives where they happen to be about as common as " a 5.0 mustang "... which I honestly have a hard time believing.

2 z at work, 2 5.0s. No 5.0 at my apartment, none at the gym. For a while a gun metal 370 was always parked by the bar next to my gym in the mornings.

honestly... if these higher end cars around your area are more common, then why don't you just buy one of those? Why not buy a 335is? It's nice inside has excellent performance, a very nice interior, twin turbo'd and with just a tune can easily add probably 40-50 whp (off the top of my head), it's ALWAYS raved about in all car magazines... etc.

Part of it almost seems like you've just come here to brag a bit about your car, and tell us how common ours is around there ... like there isn't a million vettes driving around with 70 year old men with their 20 year old bought and paid for girlfriends next to them hoping they are added to the will.

Why brag about a Chevy? It's common, too. Just saying exclusivity isn't a selling point to me. The BMW has a lot going against it for me. I don't trust the reliability, it has two useless seats, and I much prefer the looks of the nissan.

In Chicagoland where I get to see many great cars as the income level is extremely diverse around here. I see 1-2 other 370 a week, tops. And I drive a LOT. Vettes, well I cant go anywhere without seeing 1-2 every 10 min. Z06 is different.. 1-2 a week tops like a 370. ZR1 almost never I see more exotics than zr1 by far

Why does everyone have to get worked up when someone mentions they see a lot of 370s? They sell like hot cakes in certain areas of the country and in others they are pretty scarce. I typically see 5+ a day on my commute to and from work. There have been days where I've spotted 10+. They are popular. But I still see more 911s. :icon17:

I'm not trying to be an a**hole or anything about it. I mean there's nothing wrong with a Z06 obviously. I've never been a chevy guy myself, but I can appreciate the car. It just seems like you want the car mainly because of some issues of your Z06... such as interior and such, but you could spend some money on the interior to make it nicer and such and wouldn't have to spend over 30k in the process.

If you want a Z however, it's IMO a great car that is pretty underrated by many. I feel it's impressive in it's performance right from stock, but then again some people will disagree. I've added mods as most here have, but it's a very quiet car inside in it's stock form, but I have to say that if I were to do one thing, it would always be adding the ART pipes.. it just really added a nice jump in power with a little bit of an exhaust growl, but now that they are broken in they are very mild. The new ART pipes don't even require a break-in period.

I'll also add that for me, even with a base model with the sport package.. it doesn't hurt my back to drive in it for a while, and I have scoliosis, so most cars hurt my back. It's an extremely comfortable car.

I have to agree, i see quite a few around here in El Paso as well. Not as common as the mustangs and camaros but still see quite a few. And if you are going to count any model year of the mustangs and camaros, you might as well count the different Z's. If you do that, the number of Z's around here is crazy. In the barracks parking lot (maybe 100 spaces) there are two 370s (mine included), and 4 350s, which easily outnumbers any other model of car. Total between the two barracks parking lot there are about 8 Z's

I drove it 1,000 miles in a day once and felt it was pretty comfortable as long as you take regular breaks. For me, my bladder would fill up before I could get uncomfortable because of the ride. :icon17:

It's actually quite a good highway cruiser. The suspension is very compliant.

Yeah, if I count all Mustangs I see they are quite plentiful, but only a handful of them are 2011-2012 5.0s. Around here I see about as many 5.0s as I do 370s. A healthy amount, but they aren't all over the place.

I don't really care, though. I know some people want to drive something that isn't commonly seen on the road, but I just want to drive whatever gets my rocks off at any given time. I'm pretty agnostic when it comes to what I drive.

Either way, if you are concerned with how the Z stands out I don't think you need to worry. There could be a million of them in your area but they still command a double take no matter how long you've seen them. Should be enough to satisfy the attention whore in everyone.

many reasons I want a z. I outlined most ib my op. Interior is part of it, but not all by any stretch.
I was thinking about adding the nismo catback at purchase.

I'd buy it afterward... you could get it much cheaper. Honestly i'd go with another cat-back if adding power is any sort of concern for you as the Nismo exhaust has not shown to produce that much.

Mainly I want slightly more sound, no drone, and not to compromise my warranty in any way.z1 sells it for $200 less or so, but warranty is only preserved if you buy at time of purchase per Nissan website info as I understand it.

It's only an exhaust, there's nothing on the warranty that can be voided by installing one. And if your never going to mod the 370Z, just keep the Z06. And the nismo exhaust is mainly going to be for sound, it's overpriced & doesn't produce ****.
