Rosh, the way you describe it, it's like your Z was part of an epic explicit movie :icon17: JK. Sounds like your car likes to be treated roughly by an experienced driver ? ;)

You might have answered this previously but what car are you going with next?

I gotta say, cars are like clothes or shoes, different occasion, different car for a different purpose. Obvious, but you can't wear a nice pair of Italian dress shoes to go play ball. It's like asking yourself to choose just 1 pair of shoes and outfit for everything and sticking with it for a year - it's impossible.

I'll probably start with a used Miata or S2000 and pick up a lease with a Subaru Legacy, Maxima, Passat, or 328. I'll see if I'm still feeling the Z as a 3rd car or just let it go.

Gonna do some car shopping and lots of test driving.

S2k is a great call for what it sounds like you want.

Sweet, all those cars besides the Passat sound great. Have fun in the process

Maybe this has already been posted, but...

I agree to an extent that the 370z is a bit of a "disconnected" experience. I have the benefit of having owned and driven several Z's of all models over the years. The best ones (in the cornering and road feel department) are the S30's -- specifically the 70 - 72's.

Of course, stock, they are not all that great. However, with the correct setup (dropped, progressive springs, good dampers (Koni/Tokico), poly bushings, bump steer spacing, short knuckles, strut tower bracing and bigger sway bars) -- the 240 handles far better than my 370z. When I say better, I mean it is more precise -- point the wheel and the car goes there, it is quicker responding and i feel like I am directly connected to the car.

The 370 is a great handling car too, but I feel like the creature comforts get in the way a bit. I have made only one suspension mod to mine -- sway bars -- so far and am going to drop it as soon as I decide how. I am either going to go Swifts and wait for Koni to start making struts/dampers -- or I am going to go straight to coil-overs (Bilstein). I know though that it will never be like driving the 240.

This is all opinion only, but an opinion from a guy who has clocked about a million miles in Z cars.

Not sure if I should report this post for profanity  I can't determine the sexual act the poster is describing.
