Rear Fog-Light. Z1 vs Evo R

I'm shopping around for the rear fog light. Z1 motorsports has a great deal. Something like $60 plus wiring and shipping. EVO R has one as well for $115. Evo R has a video on there site and there light is LED and functions exactly how I want it to function. Z1 just has the part and doesn't describe or show how it looks or works. I can't tell if its LED or not?
Anyone knows if there is a difference between the two? I can save around $40 with Z1 and get the GT-R ignition button for that price, but I rather spend more if I get what I want. Anyone seen the Z1 in real life operation that can help? Thanks.

The Z1 fog is an OEM Nissan unit. It is NOT LED.

The EVO R is not an OEM part, but it does have LEDs in it.

All about preference.

Does that deal from Z1 include the wiring harness (has an OEM switch on one end to plug into your center tri-button area)? If it does, then you should get it; I bought the fog light and harness separately and it cost me much more than $60. The EVO-R fog light is all LED, though, so if you're concerned with matching the taillights, then you should go with the EVO-R light. Moreover, the EVO-R foglight comes with a "blinking" feature that you may or may not want since it could be illegal in your state to have a constant blinking/flashing red light on your car.

No. They have 3 different wiring harnesses ranging from $12 to 18I believe.

I disabled the blinking after a month of use. It just looks like a bicycle light to me lol

You can probably order it through Z1. I ordered mine through AAM.

It's very bright, but I really like it.

Install it yourself...

Someone on here has a DIY, just search for it.

You can tap into the rear plate power and ground wires. That will make the light turn on and off when you turn your lights on. If you want to be able to manually turn it on and off, you'll have to buy the wiring kit and install that into the car.

Z1 offers the OEM wiring kit and the steering column controls, but that is going to be a little more complicated to install.

The unit we sell is a JDM Unit direct from Nissan.

The harnesses we sell allows you to do 1 of 3 things:

1) Build your own unique harness (Pigtail Harness)
2) Hook the light up in such a way that it is activated when you turn on your running lights. (Short Harness)
3) Hook the light up in such a way that it is activated by either the brake, turn signal or running lights. (Long harness).

If you find the fog lights advertised anywhere cheaper than us, I will do my best to match that price.

At the same time I have seent he Evo R piece personally. I think that it looks awesome. So the decision is really up to you which way you want to go.

Yeah that's why I asked. I want control over the light and I don't trust myself doing that much of a job.
