Dude, just let it go...you have an amazing car and you've not mentioned 1 single problem yet, if the car was dealer traded it is what it is, the selling dealer cant be held accountable for the miles put on before they owned it. If I was the dealer that sold it to you, Id tell you get lost, the car has 0 problems and the warranty will be good til 36,225, what more do you want??? You want free stuff over and above?? Be serious...dont be cheap/greedy, just go drive! I cant believe youve wasted so much time worrying and posting about this issue, especially when the car is driving great?!?!?

They told me my spoiler was ordered and could possibly be here by the end of the week, so as soon as thats attached I'll do some pics. Nothing special really, just a black Z :)

Cool, like wilson noted see if you can negotiate some extra warranty. You bought it online so the free oil change/wash program is probably out of question.

I have to disagree with you, sorry if I spend over 40k on a car in this economy, it better d*mn well be what was advertised on the ad otherwise I would feel cheated. I would have gotten something extra for the discrepancy for sure. The OP didn't waste anyone time at least one is free to pass up the thread whenever, I believe all are allowed to post up their experience with the car on the forum without being slammed.

I agree with you birdman, BUT the OP did take delivery of the car; i.e. accepted the contract. Take this as a lesson, and move on. Don't turn this into the victimzation of some innocent citizen story.

And while I agree 100% with everyone else about the mileage issue - with the exception that OP should go back and get "compensation" - it honestly is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. 250 miles is about 2% of the average motorist's annual mileage. Look at it this way, you're that much closer to completing your break-in.

In other words, you haven't lost any life of your car. It may have been a demo, but you accepted and drove it off the lot. Probabaly not the most scrupulous act by the dealer, but again, lesson learned.

And yes, a similar situation happened to me with a new 1985 Supra that was brought in from an out-of-town dealer. As I was driving home, I noticed it had 225 miles on it, AND an ash tray full of cigarette butts. That was skanky. LESSON Learned:

1. try and only buy cars on the dealer's lot;
2. any off lot car is to be TRUCKED from another dealer;
3. do a full walk around, test drive, and odometer check before sitting down to sign anything.
4. PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE - learn to live for another day, there will always be another car available at some point.

You've got a great car, so just let this pass and enjoy it.

Indeed, it has been permanently etched into memory that I will never forget to demand a near 0 mileage car, and that it be trucked in only, if not bought directly from the lot. I've already got it up to 500 miles now in less than a week, so 250 cant be too bad. I also doubt that many customers would try to hit 120mph on the freeway just as part of a demo, so hopefully she was tested gently. Or even better, than she was just sent from a previous dealer because they wanted to have one on the lot.

A tempest in a teapot...the car has no evidence of abuse...wow...this type of response is why people get the ***** of owning a business....the dealer cant help what the previous dealer did mileage wise..if he didnt like the miles he coulda walked. The cars runs well, enjoy it and quit being a "fuss budget" about it.
