I think Jamaica did matte black on project Lizzette and I wasn't really into it. I really should just roll into the vinyl shop and brainstorm.
|
they have the doors in CF. The only parts thats not in CF is the rear quarter panel which can be done.
|
It's going to be a hard cap for the roof and the rear quarters, after all replacement parts I don't really want CF cap parts for the remaining panels. The caps would cost a lot for a part that isn't real CF, I think the average roof goes for $400-$500 dollars. I'll probably stay red until I get bored of it. I like the way it looks but I'm aware I should probably vinyl it. Right now my latest idea was matte dark green.

Plus a Matte Green won't take away from the CF won't blend it like the black. Still I will say I'm happy the hatch got here, my local experienced race/body shop and I are brainstorming ways to mount the GT wing I don't know if I'll have that on by the time fall swings around. My phone died when the Lotus got there, that thing is so wicked to drive.

I saw one in person the other day. It was very nice... until I saw the sticker price.
It's almost used GTR territory and quite honestly (yes I know I drive a Z) but a little too small. I mean, lets face it, the Z is small but it doesn't try to be large or roomy. The 1 series is rather small and I don't think the seats would be useful for anything other than a coat or book bag. They are dead sexy looking though... |
Great pics of the 1M!

BMW 1M = FUGLY!
Seriously for the cost you';d think the design team could come up with a better looking car.... |

or just get the car painted red, but maybe leave some CF coming through |

I'm not a fan of the rear bumper as much but the fender flairs are wicked and the front fasica with angle eyes is always an eye catcher.

Seeing pictures of the 1M on the internet makes the car look like a mess: way too busy in its design.
It seems like it is all function over beauty. BMW has claimed it to be a modern day E30 M3, although I'm sure it's a much different car. The price premium probably comes from the small numbers it's produced in. This car marks their (M) departure from high revving, naturally aspirated engines. That torque must be a hoot to use... |
