if you want a little entertainment
go on google and type "raced a 370z" and see what comes up.
Its kinda interesting to read on other forums from people that have ran up against the z and their thoughts on it. A lot of mustangtech and ls1 threads. gives you a different perspective on our rides, while at the same time turning you into the worlds biggest supertroll. I did it and was entertained for about 30 min of reading... I actually really liked seeing what the outsiders perspective on these things is |
a honda odyesse smoked my Z a couple of months ago ... did you find that?
|
Didn't find any links into honda oddessey owners dreams :roflpuke2:
|
lol! :rofl2:

I did this, and it was funny. Most arguments go along the lines of the 370Z is slower than (insert car here). Then when somebody tries to come back and defend the 370z and compare a stock to stock they get flamed big time lol. Also noticed that there are a lot of ignorant people that claim to love cars of all sorts as long as it is a specific car brand.

Ok this has to be the best excerpt yet: "Too heavy?? What difference does weight make if the car handles??"
He was referring to how much more a stock Camaro (new body style) weighs compared to a 370Z. |
the new camaro goes faster if you tape up the headlights. but tape adds weight so it wont work. better to just count slower so your trap is better.

Haha! thanks man! I've got something to read at work today. I've been hooked for the past 30 minutes reading about a Mustang guy who posted detailed stories about all 70 "kills" he had. Hilarious!!!
I know I probably shouldn't, but its very entertaining :icon17: Raced a 370z - MustangForums.com |

He remembers each one with so much detail. He probably writes it down in his journal everytime he races someone :rofl2: |

I'm just gonna say what everyone else has said for a long time: It's valid to compared stock to stock because it is consistent. However, when modding plays a role...$$$ is the only limit and is pretty stupid to compare mod vs mod. I could put in $$$ for a K20A engine turbo'd on a stripped CRX chassis and it would probably smoked most cars out there on the road...but then it's not really a CRX. It's a 1000lb chasis on 400HP, gee I wonder why it's quick. :ugh2: |

In case you guys didn't want to read it all, you can skip to the last page, he does man up and races a boosted Integra at the end. Not the result I was expecting but still entertaining.

There seems to be plenty of "I killed a 370z" stories out there. I haven't seen many modded 370z race videos on YouTube. THere is one that sticks out my head though. A black Nismo Twin Turbo Z raced a M6.
Oh well. |
ahh i was just wathcin that vid last night. those m6's are no joke so thats a pretty big kill for a z. even if it is a tt
|
This thread made my Friday :bowrofl: I found lots lots of interesting point views about the 370 from other car owners. But I was surprised to find out that the 3000GT forum was the douchiest one of all. They really think so highly of themselves and their cars.

It looks like he counts a win when the other person doesn't feel like going 120+ on a public road. With that logic he is winning all the time just by passing cars racing or not racing.

These kinds of posts in various car forums crack me up.
I think most of these people who go out of their way to write about their car versus other cars may have deeply rooted psychological issues or even just simple character defects. I mean, so what? I was amused especially with the Crossfire forum. Man, these guys have problems. Are they validating their purchase of a Chrysler car that does not know what it wants to be when it grows up? Did they get picked on in school? Rejected by the prom queen? Mommy did not love them enough? Picked last on the softball team? Can't get over their first time in a locker room in junior high? I don't know and I am a professional. Whatever it is that makes people bash others for their car choice, and I admit that I myself am sometimes guilty of this, does not matter. People drive what they drive for their own reasons. Look hard enough and every car has its positive and negative attributes. Fans will be fans though and it meets some underlying need to feel like the object of your obsession is better than that of others. The Z in almost all of its iterations is not the best at anything (and I have had 10 not counting the 2 I currently own and drive), but it is a Z -- faults and all. Being a Z with its history, look and feel, driving experience and uniqueness is enough for me to love them. I rarely give a thought to others' choices. onzedge has written Have an excellent day everyone. :tiphat: |
Onzedge, you drove a great point about the crossfire guys validating their purchase all the time. This one guy blew up a fuse when I let him know that the wing coming up out of the car was the only cute thing about it :icon18: Had he been bigger than me ... :icon17:

thats one of the biggest tool bag posts ive ever seen in my life.. the guy is 72-1--0 and he barely pulls a 370z in his POS mustang.... hilarious...
prob carries around a notepad, floors it off every light and charts down what car was next to him... that is too funny... undefeated 13.4 second mustang |
|
Yes he does and the results are slightly surprising. 6 races and spit even. Although the integra did have some tranny issues. still cool that he manned up.

Lol... I'm not even going to read it. I've read at least 1000 proud american muscle car owner "I BEAT AN IMPORT" stories to last 3 lifetimes. The false pride in beating cars with a half the cylinders and horsepower with a suspension kit and breathing mods in horrendously ridiculous,, stupid and hysterical at best.
If anything. Many of those wins happen by only a car length or two. My real impression would be something like this... WOW. I have a 500hp v8 and a 300hp 4banger stayed on my tail the whole time. He couldn't pass me but I'm impressed he could even hang with so much less power." That would be something I would say. The beer can crushers always have the most amazing elaborate stories. "So he though his Z would beat my stang". He said he had a 300lb weight advantage with headers. He laughed at my stang like he was the king of race and drift like he couldn't be stopped. Then I tied my confederate flag to the hood of the car and told that Z driver. Its world war 2 all over again buddy. In a heartbeat, as soon as the light went green. I raced down that track while that Z putted down the track like a 1962 vw bug. Man I hate rice. Anyway. I blew the doors off him and then some. YEEEEAAAAAAHHHH!!!! American muscle baayyyybeee. No rice here. Meat n potatoes man... just meat and potatoes." Then 100 other mustang and muscle car owners chime in with derogotory remarks about . Asians and communism and all sorts of tangents that have nothing to do with the love of the hobby. Lol. And the beat goes on.:roflpuke2: |
^^ bahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
|
Keep in mind, we'd have a **** ton of silly "kill" stories here if AK allowed street racing. ;)
|
What street racing? How does street racing? Not here?
|
LOL!!! I love the guy with the GTO bragging about how he beat a 370 with CBE and a CAI with his fulloy bolted GTO with a 150 shot
|
On the flip side, I found this comment to be really pleasing on a Mustang forum:
"Man, the 370Z is beautiful. Those classic Z lines are killer." That made me smile... I think I'm going to go out in my garage now and ogle those lines! Oh yeah... IBTL |
