T-boned by a US MAIL contractor Truck front end went right under his bumper and he ended up pushing me into the white car you see. Whatdo you guys think damage wise?

svmtbman 09-12-2011 06:27 PM

Ouch! For your sake I hope they total it.

FastPaced 09-12-2011 06:31 PM

Ouch. Was there any damage to the frame in the front?

Jamaica 09-12-2011 06:39 PM

BIG chunk missing. im gonna try to get by the auto yard and get more pictures of it tomorrow

SPOHN 09-12-2011 06:50 PM

That sucks. If the frame is bent I damn sure wouldn't want it. But I doubt it in that case. I'm about to add a extra policy to my expensive mods

m4a1mustang 09-12-2011 06:52 PM

Looks like mostly body and wheel damage, potentially some suspension damage. I doubt it's totaled, but I'm sure it's a nice chunk of coin in total damage. Sucks. :(

onzedge 09-12-2011 06:55 PM

I hope the US Postal Service has their insurance paid, given their current financial condition.

SPOHN 09-12-2011 06:56 PM

Stamps are going up again after that

PapoZalsa 09-12-2011 06:57 PM

That sucks, so many Z damage recently. Hopefully everything works out. Glad you are OK.

The more Z crashes over the year..the higher our registeration fees gonna be..

birdmanx1 09-12-2011 07:13 PM

Doesn't look totalled to me. Glad you are ok.

kenchan 09-12-2011 07:33 PM

Yah, hard to tell but I think its repairable. Doesn't mean u need to keep it after repairs though. I'd sell it the day it comes out the body shop

Trips 09-12-2011 07:36 PM

A little touch-up and a bufff and she'll look like new

Yeah, and make sure you ask the other insurance for the depreciation of the car cause by the accident.

krzykanuk 09-12-2011 08:07 PM

Wow. That almost happened to me today. Looks totalled to me.

kayess 09-12-2011 08:12 PM

My old mr2 was hit in a similar way, after repairs it just didn't feel right so i got rid of it. Glad your safe, hopefully they will mark it totaled so you can jump in a new one!

dennis26 09-12-2011 09:01 PM

Glad you are not hurt. It sucks that your car is damaged. Hope all works out for you.

cossie1600 09-12-2011 09:53 PM

definitely not totalled

Nissanboy 09-12-2011 10:05 PM

Just a flesh wound

red6spd 09-12-2011 10:29 PM

Did the airbags deploy???? You guys would be surprised what can total a car.

+1

doesn't looks like totalled and damage seems to be limited they wont total this here unless multiple airbags open up

christian370z 09-13-2011 01:42 AM

I have to agree with others, it is likely not totaled withstanding whether the airbags deployed or not. That totally sucks, I would not want to own it anymore with that amount of damage to be honest. Pursue the loss of value claim, this will help offset the hit in resale value from the accident.

Kingbaby 09-13-2011 03:33 AM

sucks bro...

You mean insurance rates!

red6spd 09-13-2011 07:47 AM

Knock on wood my insurance has stayed low. As a matter of fact I just switched from All State to Geico and saved over $100 a month, guess All State was over charging me??

RandyD 09-13-2011 07:48 AM

doesn't look totalled to me.
looks like it protected the passenger compartment pretty well..
glad you are ok.

Time to get Jack Bauer to teach Palmer a lesson

Streetlife 09-13-2011 08:16 AM

I dont think she's totaled either. Glad you walked away from the accident.

there's a major coverage difference-- all state will take much better care of you if something happens.

That said, I still use geico.

NYBladeZ 09-13-2011 08:56 PM

the rear quarter is going to have to be pulled and pushed back into shape. I'd guess there is frame damage, remember the rear quarter is a part of the larger frame. Keep us posted.

Baer383 09-13-2011 09:01 PM

If some of you guys saw how some of these insurance companies dictate which parts get repaired and which get replaced and some of the stuff they don't pay/fix on customer cars it would make your heads spin!!!

And by the way that car is no where near totaled!!

specZ 09-13-2011 11:14 PM

as others have stated... my apologies, your car is repairable at this point :(

UNKNOWN_370 09-13-2011 11:43 PM

I had a silver one with less damage and it was totalled out. Took delivery of my GM 2011 today. A replacement from my accident. I'm assuming you are ok. That's what counts. Hopefully they will total the car and you can get a new one. Good luck.

3SeventyZ 09-14-2011 07:20 AM

ouch.. sorry to see this

MB_Z 09-14-2011 05:56 PM

Looked at it today in the auto body yard no visible frame or rail damage or misshape. Measured the wheel distances from fender well to tire wall and the driver side is about 3/4 inch further back then the passenger with the steering wheel perfectly straight...now i have to wait for the insurance adjuster to get out and look at it

im already depressed about not having my car after 2 days...this is gonna take forever... my rental is a Chevy traverse:mad: 3 ROWS OF SEATS sooo far off from my baby Z:mad: its like a fricking tank of car

any ideas of what could be bent that would push the wheel back just straight back doesn't appear to be out of alignment?

Thanks for the help guys This site has been fantastic the best forum ive ever been a part of
