Thanks for the help guys This site has been fantastic the best forum ive ever been a part of

Your lower control arm is more than likely damaged. May have even gone as far the front crossmember, although, Its hard to tell from the photos you posted.

That said, I still use geico.

What do you mean??? I have the same coverage as before, I had to since I have a Note on the Z and Lease a Versa. Do you mean Allstate is just better?

If you ever file an insurance claim with both companies, the treatment is very different. My old civic got hit and run, and geico kept trying to only pay for clear coat halfway up the rear quarter panel:ugh2:

Geico is cheap but you get what you pay for once you file a claim. They will try to short changed you thankfully my body shop guy is a cool dude and more than makes up for their lack of effort. Good luck with the fix.

OP, just curious -- do you want it to be totalled?

NYBladeZ 09-15-2011 11:44 AM

If there is no frame or rail damage and its just surface panels and interchangable pieces I say keep it. You're resale value will take a hit though.

If you care about your car don't get Progressive or Geico these two companies don't care about fixing your car properly to them it's all about money.

I deal with almost every insurance company out there and the best 2 companies all round are StateFarm and Usaa with a few others not far behind.

Yes i do that would be my number one option

Thats my other opinion on the matter if no frame and rail damage is done i will mostly keep the car and decide of some nice long drives with her again. Anything in between those two is a sold car for me. i bought two problem vehicles before this one and i wont stay in a third problem car

im assuming you want the FI exhaust... ill be keeping that for my next z if its totaled or just keeping it on the car if its not. But if i do sell the car youll be first in line for it

:iagree:

I am an estimator and I couldn't agree more. People need to realize that Progressive and Geico suck.

Thanks I Know,I'm an Auto Body Tech and our shop is one of the best in Georgia but people who I enlighten to the "behind the scenes" info about what insurance companies say and do really would make there heads spin.

I personally have Allstate car insurance only b/c when my cars get wrecked I'm the tech fixing it so I can't get screwed.
