I like how the yellow looks at first glance, but am not sure I could live with it. I passed on a CY as a result when I was buying (at used Z's only), even though it had fewer miles than the one I settled on.

Yay.

yes yes I agree with bright colored sports car. And I dont hate yellow sports cars. Yellow lambos, ferraris, etc looks all great in yellow. But something about 370z that rejects yellow in my eyes. :ugh2:

I saw pictures of solid red and though "this doesn't look that great," but when you see it in person....it's just damn lovely. I've seen yellow with carbon fibre hood, unfortunately integras still get stuck in my mind on that color scheme.

Resale value is not affected, I don't know why that is assumed..

I like a CY Z next to my blue Z in pictures, I'll post up some pics later at home. the two colors contrast very nicely. But yeah I wouldn't want to own a yellow car unless its a lambo or ferrari and even then my choice would probably end up being red.

There is some basis for truth, although I don't know if it's exactly true here.

1. It does date the car, since it only came out that one year. Although that could also work in one's favor, since it is the rarest color offered.

2. Studies have been done that show certain colors sell better/worse on the second-hand market, although I don't know how yellow fares. Green is said to be the hardest to move, while Red seems to be the easiest. Of course, that study's a couple years old at this point.

I agree with you but to say it will "have no resale value" like some have said is just false.

Look at the 2005 UY Z33 for example, it still fetches the same value as any other Z33 that is similarly equipped. At the end of the day it's a sports car so a wilder color is generally accepted.

Yeah, the CY is one of those colors you have to see in person, pics don't do it justice. Like the CY, I didn't think too much of the solid red and monterey blue either until I saw them at a dealership. I fell in love with the blue and the rest was history.

Honestly, the 370 is just a sexy car all around and looks great in all factory colors.

I think most people like all the 370 colors but you will find haters for each and every 370 color.
