All you guys saying you would rather buy a GT-r are only thinking about US prices. From what he's telling us about car costs over there, this doesn't seem bad. Too many guys are just reading the first post and going off. My aussie cousin said an Accord will run you 40k in Australia so you can imagine a Z would be considerably more and apparently the OP is in New Zealand where cars cost even more than they do in Aus. Glad I live in a large market country where things cost less or I would not be driving my Z today.

Just out of curiosity, what does petrol cost over there? Or how 'bout a gallon of milk?

Congrats on the car.

The voice of reason. This is a 370Z forum ! Congrat Andy...and I want the first Shotgun ride...

Yeah for sure mate...you will be the first passenger :tiphat:

It is about the Stillen Edition in New Zealand and not about the milk price here or other bargains...or we want to talk about the US economy instead :p

Whats the price of Gas over there with the 'lets support middle east dictators ' discount ?

:)

We're not knocking NZ or anything. We are just curious because those numbers sound way high to us but of course everything is relative.

I'm not trying to get into a political debate. I just wanted to know the price of some common goods in your country to put things in perspective considering that some people can't wrap their heads around what this lightly modified car is going for over there.
Sheesh. :ugh2:

AndyR1 10-03-2011 11:01 PM

Well, stock 370Z coupe aut. sport package without navi.: NZ$ 78,000 = US$ 57,000
Additional parts incl. driver training: NZ$ 5,500 = US$ 4.000

So that's the deal.

Forgot about country specific prices, they are not comparable, see Singapore.

Last time I checked, NZ was aligned with the US as a founding nation of the UN as well as keeping up what could be considered "good" working relations on a broad array of international issues including supporting the US in both Korea and Vietnam. :ugh2: Not to mention NZ's support of the Gulf war and invasion of Afghanistan.

It's not nice to make generalizations. Not all of us agree with the current events and policies made by the government. I for one don't agree at all with an undeclared and unconstitutional "war" in the middle east.

Americans tend to take for granted the luxuries they have at the low price they get them for compared to what the rest of the world pays...... Be thankful you get the cheapest pricing in the world for a 370Z instead of ragging on the OP who was trying to share his 370Z enthusiasm with you.

It seems like a sweet deal to me! It's also great in the fact that you can add aftermarket parts straight from the dealership (assuming it's still under warranty)!

G37sHKS 10-05-2011 05:01 AM

with this price, it could be better if they add

Supercharger
Stillen Rotors J style
High performance brake pads
Stainless steel brake lines
High flow cats

LunaZ 10-05-2011 07:18 AM

Unsubbed
