Did I just see a yellow Z coupe with its top lopped off to make it a T top?!?!?!?!?!?!? omg

Robert_Nash 08-31-2011 11:39 PM

Z1 ZNationals is THE Fall premier "Z" event at least in the Eastern half of the country and perhaps in the entire country. Any Z/G/GT-R affectionado within a day's driving distance of Carrllton, GA owes it to themselves to be there.

For me, there are two and only two "must attend" "Z" events in the country; ZDayZ in the Spring and ZNationals in the late Summer/early Fall.

wow,what a big visual feast.

No worries...I just went thru the track list and checked out your registration. You are good to go. Give me a shout either this evening or tomorrow. I will be in the office.

FYI...you are good to go with a Garage space too!

I just reverifed the list and wanted to fill everyone in on this. We have about 3 more garage spaces available. Be sure to register for the 2011 Z Nationals Track Day soon if you want to secure a covered garage space for the track event!

ZCarMan 09-02-2011 04:38 PM

Dustin, you've confirmed I'm good as well for registration for Z Nats and the track event. I have the track registration package so I believe all is good. Should be a lot of fun as always! Patricia and I will arrive in the area on Thursday later in the afternoon. We'll stop by the shop and say hello once we get there.

SPOHN 09-02-2011 04:55 PM

Awesome! Can't get here soon enough.

Mike 09-02-2011 07:51 PM

Yay! Dustin told me I don't have to instruct!!!!!

Dustin@Z1 09-03-2011 10:55 AM

That is pretty awesome. I might have to hit up the dinner. What else goes on at the dinner event? Besides food. Lol.

Dustin@Z1 09-05-2011 10:15 AM

Another round of updates for everyone!

1) Friday, September 23rd's activities have been decided:
  1. From 12:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM - Pre-Track Day Tech Inspections at Z1 will take place for all registered track participants.
  2. Pat from Apex Auto will also be on site (@ Z1 Motorsports) detailing customers' vehicles from 12:00 PM ~ 5:00 PM. Contact Pat @ Apex Auto for more details and to schedule and appointment.
  3. Beginning @ 6:00 PM, a Z/G Cruise will begin leaving from the Z1 Motorsports facility. Route is TBD, but will highlight some of the local Atlanta icons. We will meet for dinner at the Varsity in Downtown Atlanta at some point for some local food and a photo op. The film crew and photographers will also be in attendance.
  4. Following the Z Cruise, there will be a gathering at the Border Mexican Bar & Grill in Carrollton, Georgia for food, drinks and good times. (This will be the Z1 After Party normally held on Saturday Night for those of you who are wondering )

2) For people looking to register for the track day....we still have spots available in the three classes, be sure to register soon! However, all of the Cover Garage Spaces in the NASCAR Garages have been taken. We appreciate all those who have registered early and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

98intrigue 09-05-2011 10:38 AM

So max I have to miss this! :( I was really looking forward to visiting you guys again.

Dustin@Z1 09-09-2011 08:31 AM

Ryan,
Sucks you can't make it this year buddy. Definitly keep an eye out for a future post, we will have live camera feeds around the shop so those who can not make can still join in on the action. We will have a live feed from the Dyno Bay, around the shop and outside the building.

Just confirmed. The Hampton Inn is now full. The overflow hotel, the Holiday Inn Express, has around 10 rooms left. If you are trying to stay in either of these hotels, please go ahead and make your reservations. We will be contacting 2 more hotels today to set up additional group packages, but I wanted to let you guys know first. Looks like it's going to be a good one again this year!!

We still have sponsors joining in at the last minute too, so we will keep you guys posted as the new give away items are confirmed.

Dustin@Z1 09-09-2011 05:20 PM

Our sponsors are stepping up with great giveaways being added daily, but you must be at the Z Nationals on September 24th to win.
Just added today:
  • $500 in gift certificates from Deatchwerks
  • 2) packages to the Indy Grand Prix at Barber Motorsports park. Each package includes four (4) Three day tickets and a Paddock Pit Pass. Barber Motorsports Park : Home
  • JWT ECU upgrade (Z32 only!)

Visit this link for a running list of confirmed giveaways and specials available at the 2011 Z Nationals : Z Nationals Event Website
Last year over $40,000 in products were given away to lucky attendees at the Z Nationals and we are on track for even more this year.

Free posters featuring some of our favorite cars and models will be given away at Z Nationals. We’ll have several lovely ladies on hand signing the posters, taking, photos, etc.
We’ll be having a photoshoot for the posters this weekend and we will post some teaser shots next week. Here are some images from previous Z Nationals poster shoots.

SPOHN 09-09-2011 06:45 PM

Did it say somewhere you could purchase extra raffle tickets the day of the event?

Spencer@Z1 09-09-2011 06:55 PM

You sure can, we had some people clean house last year.

Dustin@Z1 09-10-2011 08:50 AM

Keep in mind, some of the raffle items like the Skip Barber Single Day Racing School pass are valued at just over $2,200.00. Even if you gambled on $100 worth of tickets (which some people did last year), your chances of winning that prize are extremely high.

We do give more tickets per $$$ spent. I believe the ticket price break down will be something like the following:

1 Ticket = $5
5 Tickets = $20
30 Tickets = $100

This is in addition to the fact that all online registered attendees will get 2 FREE RED tickets while all pre-registered guests will also get 2 FREE RED tickets.

There were many individuals last year who spent a few hundred dollars on raffle tickets and walked away with a few big $$$ items. It definitly made their weekend!

Dustin@Z1 09-12-2011 04:38 PM

Daily update for you guys coming at ya!

This year's Z Nationals event has just had an extra level of excitment for added....better make sure you look your best because some of you are going to get your 15 minutes of fame or MORE!

For the past few years the Z Nationals car show series has been lucky enough to be featured in both Modified Magazine and Nissan Sport Magainze. The coverage of the event has grown with each passing year with photographers like Patrick McGinnis (HKYStormFront) and others being gracious enough to photo-document the weekend.

http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGa...SC_0564pat.jpg

For the 2011 event, we have arranged for even more media coverage....and some unexpected surprises.

Joining our returning photographer, Patrick McGinnis, will be David Wilks of RaceShotResources Photography. As an accomplished motorsports photographer, David shoot for multiple Grand-AM and American LeMans teams throughout the season all across the country. David's work will be featured in an upcoming episode of the Britsh version of Top Gear where they will be discussing one of his most recent photo shoots at Road America:

http://www.pixxbytango.com/Grand-Am/...olTV-303-S.jpg

In addition to David and the RaceShotResource crew, we have also arranged for the 2StepCreative Film crew out of North Carolina to be present to video the event from start to end. This group of filmographers have shot many car films includign the recent ZDayZ 2011 recap:

ZDayZ 2011 filmed by 2StepCreative

As of last Friday, we recieved an unexpected surprise in the form of an email from Nissan North America. Nissan has announced that they will be sending a large film/photography crew to the 2011 Z Nationals event to document the event for future Nissan promotional commercials, advertisements and Facebook content. This is a great honor for everyone involved in the 2011 Z Nationals event as well as for us here at Z1 Motorsports.

A recent film created by Nissan North America covering the 2011 Z Car Convention in Savannah, Georgia was spectacular. See link below:

2011 ZCON Savannah, Georgia filmed by Nissan North America

We hope to see everyone soon! Look for more updates to come.
