I don't think it's quite a "shitload" - for what this car delivers, it's a bargain. Even factoring in the mild service charges. Now a GT-R (and up) is getting into the shitload category. |

I'm averaging about 1000 miles per month... mostly on cruising the twisties on the weekends :)

im coming up on 75k and its fun every minute i'm in it

Don't worry two schools of thought. If its a DD your fine..
imho cars are made to be driven. the Z is not a car that will gain any value through the years with low mileage. unless you plan on keeping it for 20 years you have already taken the hit enjoy it. my 09 is at 35,000 and it great shape. if i tried to trade today with a low mileage z i bet it wouldn't bring more than an extra grand in trade in value... jmo |

I agree on everything you said. I usually keep all my rides with low miles except for a daily beater. That has always worked well for me when it comes time to sell off a car. I have always sold/ priced my cars at or in the range of dealer retail than pricing for sale buy owner. Example: I have a 2000 Prelude Vtech that has around 50700 miles on the car. I have 4 people interested in it right now. They are just waiting for me to say I am selling it. They alreay know the car will not be priced in the For sell by owner Edmonds online price range. Their is always a buyer willing to pay retail to an individual if the car is extra clean and low mile. Why let the dealer make the easy money on extra clean rides. |

A real honest question: do miles really matteR?

Imagine this: 30,000 miles in local roads and highways with light average traffic vs. 30,000 miles in bumper to bumper traffic... The latter might have 4-5 times the running time of the former. |
2k miles per year. I've got other fast toys to drive besides my Z.
|
Had mine for 11 months now. Have 6800 miles on the odometer. I will be putting it away for the winter here soon. I am trying to keep it under 7500 miles a year because I can get a discount on my insurance if I drive it less than 7500 miles a year.

27,000 miles and climbing! Who the eff cares about low mileage. This car is made to be driven. I had an 03 350z before this and it had 90K miles on it when I sold it...and it still ran perfect at that time! Nissan built a great engine. It will last, so drive it and be grateful because you never know if one day you won't be as fortunate to own one!

mine's a tad over 7K. original owner since aug09.

I put 40k miles on a murano in a little over a year

I like these threads because I can keep a history of my mileage by searching my posts.
I bought mine in July 2010 and have 15k miles on it. |
just hit 1200 got it on Oct 1, 2011
time to drive fast |
I have 7500 km on her at almost 10 weeks !!
: ) |
ive put over 2000 miles on my z in under the first month, also have 2 tickets :/ (i'm an idoit)
|
I split my time 370z/ZX-10r, both new in 2010. ZX10 has 6K and the Z has 16K, I was deployed 6 months during that time. I have 52 mile, one to work, but its 3/4 open back roads, and great for driving on. We are thinking of moving closer to my work, but I will miss my drives.
