I agree, it gives it a more dynamic look and draws your eye.

:icon18: :bowrofl: I think that's also a sticker that AK sends along to give the illusion of a Bowflex in the quarter window.

Anyone have a pic of what it looks like on a black car?

LETSGOEERS06 12-01-2009 09:44 AM

I should get one and put it on my jeep

dudafunk 04-07-2010 10:00 AM

Silly question but what happens when you rub a cloth against it after a car wash... do they start peeling off after a while? :-?

Haven't had any problems yet after a full year. You're washing a car, not scrubbing a stubborn kitchen pot.

dropped1 04-07-2010 10:06 AM

Like with any vinyl decals, you shouldn't rub aggressively, or spray with a pressure washer. Microfiber towels tend to snag decals, but as long as you clean the surface properly, with rubbing alcohol before applying any decals it shouldn't be an issue!

dudafunk 04-07-2010 10:15 AM

No strands of thread from towels sticking on the edges? . . .

vipor 04-07-2010 10:18 AM

^ I get a little bit of that, but oh well. I'll just replace them after a while. I wash my car pretty often due to the weather/bugs/pollen and they still look fine.

I cleaned the glass thoroughly with alcohol, and then after application I rubbed the edges down hard with my fingernail.

I wash my car with a pressure washer and sponge it after it's soapy. Chamois dry. Haven't had anything lift an edge yet.

That's because I overnight these decals from JAPAN! :rofl2: :bowrofl:

I have them on my car since last year and no problem so far. As someone said, be careful when you use the soapy sponge. You should be okay. If a decal DOES get damaged, that's why I'm here for :hello: . I'll send you a set.

Any thoughts about maybe getting them reversed on a clear sticker so you can place it on the inside of the window to shine through without having to worry about washing them off?

Zigen5 04-15-2010 10:22 PM

What do you think about putting one on the back window of the roadster?

Should be nice. I think KDO2milger put his decal in rear glass in his coupe.

vipor 04-16-2010 09:04 AM

You are correct, sir.

Gotta love the red haze that comes from his camera. It's held together with a rubberband :shakes head:

I wanna support the community and all, I just have a thing with stickers on cars. Though I think I have seen somebody stick it on the plastic battery cover under the hood, can anybody confirm if that would melt/be a bad idea? I just deposited 20 bucks in my paypal account (never use it) so once it clears Ill set up premium membership (with decals)!

I think the battery cover is textured, but it doesn't get very hot as it is sealed off from the rest of the engine bay.

the windows decals are small and IMO look pretty good on the window. Got to be seen to show the love.
