Been in a situation involving both a bitch and a "big hairy dude". Some dude's bitch hit me and I wasn't very pleasant toward either the big hairy dude, or his drunk bitch. Her cop daddy showed up and I didn't have anything to say to him either beyond "Yeah, she ran the light" as they crammed her into the back of a cruiser.

Skewered her insurance company best I could. Made friends with a lawyer and a chiropractor, as well.

OH, btw, one time a guy rammed my mustang GT at a gas-pump (long story, horse-trailer, etc.).

Anyway, I got out and did my damndest to bait him into throwing a punch. His wife came out of the gas station though and simmered him down. He later turned out to be okay, and even though his **** bargain-basement ghetto insurance company (Progressive) refused to cover my damage (I was parked...pumping fuel...he admitted full fault....) because it was on private property (Gas-station/trukstop just outside of Houston, the one with the plastic palm-trees for you TX natives), he cut me a check for the avg. of the 3 estimates I faxed him. Stand-up guy.

progressive did the same to me when a buy backed into me at a wal-mart parking lot. They really are the shittiest of the ****.

Yep, and the guy who hit me owned a company. He had ALL his policies with them. Until the end of that day, when he canceled every policy he had with them.

Yeah i want to say in Texas if you get hit in a parking lot then you are sol. I want to say back around 2000 a friends mom was hit in her drivers side door by some old lady that couldnt see " the lady was actually waving hello before she ran into her". She was sol and had to file a claim with her insurance to fix it.

Why would you bait him into hitting you? Unless the guy is being a total douche and unwilling to work with you it's best to just be respectful in these situations and hold back the anger you probably feel. It usually works out better that way. Accidents are still just accidents.

sorry but crap like that is why i'm paying through the roof for insurance. if something happened, you just bill insurance for any property damage or physical injuries, and NOTHING ELSE. People like to be smarta$$es and "make friends" with lawyers and chiros and physicians and physiotherapists, and think they'll stick it to the big bad evil insurance companies. Well guess what, insurance companies aren't there to lose money. So as a result of all those bogus claims they have to pay, they end up raising premiums for everyone to recover the costs of being "skewered".

I had that happen on a 280Z I owned several years ago - rear end at a stoplight. His insurance company declined to pay, and so did he, so I took him to small claims court. He was found at fault, still refused to pay me, so I filed a complaint and they revoked his driver's license for failure to prove financial responsibility. Boy did I get the phone calls later when he found out about the revocation. The court wouldn't give him his license back until he paid me and I signed off.
