Nissan / Ferrari License Plate Kits

These are better than Stillen's and they fit the NISMO and the regular 370's as well.

Wth does that have to do with anything haha.

You know, that statement does make you sound like a spoiled brat. I use to think that way when I was younger with my 240sx, but the law is the law. Same goes for speeding and reckless driving. It's not like it's a new law that recently came out and this is a very well known issue.

I don't like that law, but I do understand why. In the Law Enforcement's point of view, a front license place makes a lot more sense in order to identify the vehicle instantly. The only we to get around it is if we have some form of GPS/BLUETOOTH so that the police could identify "this Z belongs to Johnny." I mean, what happens if someone stole your car and you have Lo-Jack, how could they identify this gunmetal Z is yours and not the wrong persons'? Otherwise, this is what we have to work with for now.

As to why $75, there's always room for competition. You have a right to either buy their product or buy someone else's or create your very own bracket. I'm pretty sure raw materials costs no more than $15, but making exact thread to create the thread on a bar/pipe of metal takes a lot of work and time. Lastly, I don't like how it looks as a daily, but if you need to take photo-shoots, I love how all I need is a monkey wrench and spend only 10 seconds removing the thing w/ license plate in tacked without scratching the bumper.

Also, you live in Orange County. You, of all people, should know how stupidly expensive a fix it ticket costs now.

Synack 07-20-2011 02:03 PM

I think of it like this. The ticket will be upwards of $100. The bracket is upwards of $100. The bracket would be a good buy, especially if you have a cool specialty plate like me :)

i feel EXACTLY the same way as you do. I'm still debating on whether I should keep it on or not. Realistically it's probably best to keep it on especially where I live and our cops being notorious for their love of writing tickets and pulling over every young person with a sports car as often as they can (it's not unusual to see three cops pulling over one car in Irvine just because they feel the need to have their entire squad with them when they pull you over). But I really don't like how it looks and how it awkwardly sticks out SO much. It might not sound like a lot but when you see it it's totally different. And $75 dollars?! REALLY!? maybe I haven't been looking in the right areas but I never imagined it would be more than $30 for this kind of bracket if even that. I think if you REALLY REALLY REALLY have to then you should get this but I've counted at least 20 cars without front plates on my drive from school to home today which is a good 10 minute drive and I've never gotten any kind of trouble for it before this and even this time I didn't get pulled over for not having front plates on. I might just say eff it and take it off in a week :shakes head:

Completely agree. I'm going to return mine this week. Just bought it. Put it on for 30 seconds and off it went lol.

My cars will never have front plates. Ticket -- zip tie -- sign off -- remove.

I thought there was a Nissan front license plate bracket designed for the 370Z with a notch in it to fit around the hood and that attaches to the plastic fascia at the top of of the grill. The fascia has two small indentations where the bracket screws can be attached. This set up is also centered as opposed to the off center Stillen tow hook mount.

RCK- there is. im using one. it looks fine for me but since it looks like an ordinary plate on ordinary cars, i might get that mower guy's one to shift it out of place to make it look more aftermarket.

and physically remove the plate when taking picts. :p

Its 6 ways adjustable. So you can have it more towards the center of the bumper if you wanted, and you can have it higher up if you want. I like mine JDM'd so I put it all the way to the left and all the way down.

You see the black little state of Texas at the top right of the license plate? That's "about" where the metal rod is right now. Now you see the black Star at the top left of the plate? There's another rod mounting point about right there. So imagine where that would put it.

Synack 07-20-2011 06:20 PM

HORRIBLE photoshop job but here's what it what look like moved over all the way to the right possibly.
