370Z-Modified
1st - Z Car Garage
2nd - DDMotorsports
3rd - Mines

That's so weird! I think it's the color combo that won mini his 1st place. Platinum Graphite is an amazing color. First time I saw it in person, I was . Then, when you add persimmon leather to that, it's like the perfect combination.

As soon as DDM mentioned that it was an older crowd, then everything stated to make sense. Older folks will always vote for less aggressive, clean look.

Congrats to all of you guys!

yeah i remember when i went to TORC(toyota owners restorers club) car show
my celica was highly agressive looking with almost evry bolt on
lost to another celica who had everybolt on as well but no kit just stock
so yeah you can guess since its a restorers club most of the judges where older folks
:D but its all good

I was fortunate enough to take home best in class for the 370z stock entry.
I told Paul from Amplified Motorsports, that I wouldn't make a big deal about it, being the humble guy that I am.

Thanks for the pics Bryan! Those bugs were huge with giant teeth and a thirst for human blood.

Yeah, no problem  I had to strap it to the top of my car, it was so heavy, I captured a few of those gigantic mutant bugs that were attacking Mike from DD, and they were able to lift it on top using some straps made from a racing harness.

Bryan, thanks for the cool pics, your friends Orange 240 is awesome! All in all it was a lot of fun, cant wait for the next one.

there are a couple here: http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...html#post63261
this is with Nismo CB exhaust, but there are some others that are posted in the same thread with just the Berk's

kgreen 04-29-2009 12:32 AM

your combo sounds the best IMO!

mikes 04-29-2009 01:08 AM

It was definitely a good time. It seems like the judging at these things is biased towards "fewer" stickers...

Anyway, this was the baddest "streetable" Z I saw at the show:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...9/158a9e09.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...9/20f5aeb1.jpg

The build sheet listed Porsche 8-way power leather seats, AC, power windows, power locks and a bunch of other suspension and interior mods.

How that thing didn't win best of show is beyond me...

Gratz to the winners!

It was a great show and was my first time attending. Only bummer was having to park the Z up in the dried out field. Had I known I would have registered just to get good parking next to you guys. All good though, I was able to meet Paul from Amplified and a bunch of others on the classic side.

Anyone see the 240z paint job with the little stick figures in naughty "positions" painted onto hidden locations on the car? good stuff.

Here's a pic of the bone stock 370z next to the Nissan Sport booth...
