Not a survey just a fun question
Not trying to start or stir crap up. But have noticed that there are alot of Mustang guys or won't to be Mustang guys that join in the forum here....
So just wondering if given the chance would you give up your 370 for the Mustang. Straight up swap....... Not trying to compare the two just a simple answer... My answer would be a simple NO........ |
No
|
Yes on a Boss or Shelby GT500 and up
No on base or GT |
I don't think so, but if I could drive a similarly prepped one to mine back to back on the track, who knows what I would like better. I'd like to think I would prefer the Z, since I prefer it over a C6, but I'm open minded.
I do know that I was able to keep up lap for lap with a mustang that was after the SN95 and before the current ones. I had a v6 99, and it was that body style, but this was a fully prepped race car on R compounds and I was on AD-08s at Barber. It said GT-RS on the trunk, I think. Then again, driver skill makes a big difference too, not that I'm all that hot. |
hell no. maybe a GTR but no a stang. I see those cars everywhere.
|
Since when are you not trying to stir up crap? :p
If the Mustang was valued higher than the 370, yes, because you have an opportunity for arbitrage which is rare in this environment of electronic trading. Arbitrage opportunities don't just pop up every day, and when they do, the spreads close in a split second. Example: 370Z $35,000 Mustang $40,000 The investor: Purchases the 370Z -$35,000 Exchanges the 370Z for the Mustang Sells the Mustang for +$40,000 Risk free profit ($5,000) = win. BTW, we join as 370Z owners and somewhere along the line change cars. ;) I know myself and Modshack have contributed a lot to this community. |
hell no.
i would only trade up to an M3 |
No, I think the Mustang is a cool car but I prefer to stand out from the crowd a bit. Mustangs are as common as civics here so I'd never drive either.

so true. this evening driving home...passed by 4 stangs and 3 camaros...no 370z. |
Nope

I will take the Mustang if they will give me the car for free and I don't have to pay for the Z anymore.

No

I like the new stang, but my pops has one so i can drive it some times. I think it's an 09? It is a MT GT though and it's alot of fun to drive.

no, but for GTR yes. lol

NO
|
I'll say that if I was offered a fully loaded 5.0 in the color of my choice... MAYBE.
Othewise, no... I love my Z. |
Not fully loaded, has to be the same trim level of your Z.

But I'd agree in a heartbeat if I could profit from a free arbitrage opportunity! |
Probably not
|
Not a chance. Until they change that rear end, I wont have any interest in the mustang.
|
For a BOSS, yes
|
No. The Mustang is fast, but at the end of the day, I like the Z better. It's a smaller, more tossable sports car. The Stang handles nearly as well, but it feels like a boat in comparison. I also think the Z is stunningly gorgeous in comparison, is slightly less common on the road, and well she's mine.
If I won a Mustang in a contest tomorrow with zero miles, a manual transmission, the v8, and a higher trim package, then I'd probably sell the Z. |
no cause... it looks like a mustang
|
I'm curious how many of the people saying no have driven the new mustang.
|
I spent far too much time and efforts looking for this EXACT color and options (seven solid months), so id have to go with a resounding "NO"!!!! :)

I'll have to go by ford and check out a new one. I like going to the car lots in the Z and telling them, "now make me want to trade it in." |
