Was at a car show in Kissimmee a couple weekends ago. Pretty big gathering both in an exhibit hall and outside. Pulled the wife along as I am attempt to learn more about the 370Z. Inside the hall where all the radical mods where at, the wife is looking at the cars and wants to know why they have flat tires. Now many years ago she ran an auto shop and was even certified on the alignment machine so she has a good understanding of what works and what should be.

But I did not understand her thinking the tires were flat. It took a bit of discussion to understand how she was see the suspension. I explained a couple times it is the Bagged suspension alignment and undersized tires on wide wheels. She finally caught on and was less than impressed.

I remember that guys build thread. I was so sad as I watched some well done metal work turn out so poorly, aesthetically speaking. Like four bubbles hanging off the car and there wasnt even an aggressive body kit used to attempt to help the car.

Don’t be cool. Cool is conservative fear dressed in black. Free yourself from limits of this sort.

Using words like "tasteful" to describe your mods sound like you're afraid of negative opinions. There's nothing "sleeper" about a Z, we all bought the car to enjoy it - some like the looks, some like the function, some like both, and there's plenty of people who would argue about the waste and excess in spending money on making the car faster, when it's perfectly capable of breaking the law already.

I believe that there is nothing worse than a riced out untastely done Ford Mustang having owned one I can comment. The worst looking 370Z I have yet was with euro headlights and taillights,lowered/slammed to the ground with air ride suspension, blue led lights, chopped axles,huge/heavy/ugly 22 inch wheels. It is common sense modding a vehicle I think and a learning process about what looks good and is tasteful versus riced out ugly looking on any vehicle. Also I believe that some carbon fiber on the interior and exterior on a Nissan 370Z or any other imported vehicle is ok and not rice looking. When you way over do it with the carbon fiber interior and exterior mods it begins to look untastful.

This thread is so stupid. We're all car enthusiast and by definition should be admirers, aficionados, believers, fanatics, freaks, maniacs, & supporters of what fellow Z owners like to do. Not bash and and make fun of. If you don't like it fine let them be. What I've read so far is some 5hitty attitude towards others' work. What have you done to your Z that represent and value self expression? Show it off and be proud. Let people do what they want and left open for others to follow, improve upon, or leave alone.

It's your car, it's your money, it's your ideas. Do what you want. But if you ask for opinions. You may not like what you read. Everyone has different tastes.

- Body kits as they always look rubbish when the car gets older.
- Tinted tail lights as they are unroadworthy in this country and look rubbish especially as the car gets older.
- Carbon fibre hoods as they never look/fit as good as stock.
- (Fake) Carbon fibre stickers on interior parts.
- Stickers as they always look tacky and immature.

Totally agree with this one,

Albeit i sin with the stickers, but 95% of them are sponsor stickers which are required, along with the size. Then theres just very small stickers on the glass

Its photo-shopped. Zoom in on the letters from the pic posted in the reddit if you dont believe me.. You can see where the person photo-shopped each individual letter, you can legit see its copy and pasted.

Also, pretty sure if someone was dumb enough to do such a thing to an already nice car, im sure they'd go all the way and change the licence plate cover also...

This is the dead giveaway. It is only compounded by an incredibly poor photochop :shakes head:
