My Z and CX-5 were each $36.85, and no emissions test to worry about.

In Ohio, for personalized plates it's about $125 per year...with e-check every two years that is based on the vehicle year (odd or even). This test is free.

Here in Cali, I paid $226 for my registration and another $40 to renew a personalized vanity plate.

i pay $50 a year, because i have a custom tag otherwise it would be $20 :D

This year I paid 350 in CA. I actually paid $370 in '13 for a personalized plate. I thought the state was messing with me. It has not gone down at all. Despite the steep bill for this privilege, our roads suck. Where does the money go? :shakes head:

You guys need to move to Pa. Cars are flat rate, and personalized plates are a one time fee of $44.00.
