From the last cars that I have owned, most of which either had a twin disk, or a heavy pressure plate, the Z's clutch was actually so soft, it made it hard for me to drive.

I'm used to it now, but it use to be a disappointment.

I have no clue why people bitch about manuals in traffic. Have owned cars with heavier clutches than in the 370Z, Mustang, my Z, etc. and had no problem for hours in traffic rolling through Houston. My advice is the same as yours. Some people need to stop being physical failures at life. (barring of course legitimate medical reasons/injury)

You can't really deny that an automatic is far easier in traffic. It might not be by much, but it is certainly easier. Same with VDC. No, it isn't a magic button that if pressed will make you instantaneously crash, but under normal, daily conditions, there's no real reason to keep it off.

Outside of that, it doesn't even matter. These threads are pointless because it's ultimately a personal choice. Plus, it's also been done to death a trillion times.

Though, I guess the marine line was new. :p
