If I drive it hard, I get 14mpg. If I refrain from pushing it, I get 17MPG.

09 model, purchased new, approx 21,000 miles since purchased. Not driven everyday but is driven often and is rotated with other vehicles...quite a few road trips though.

Will probably average 10,000 miles or less per year. Gas mileage.-I don't worry about it, I just worry about the cost of filling up.

Getting 21.1 mpg average, just about 5500 miles on the odo.

Car bought new; just broke 20K. Currently 27.3 miles per gallon; 90% highway driving (average speed 72 mph).

The car has had two recent changes:

(1) at 19K I put on Continental "ExtremeContact DWS" all-season tires in a +1 size on base 18" rims, 35psi front and back.

(2) At the last oil change, went from Mobil One 5w-30 (synthetic, normal grade for Z) to 0w-30. (K&N filter, of course).

The trip computer's been reporting in the 28mpg range on the highway, and the 27.3 is averaged with all driving over two tanks of premium unleaded, or about 500 miles.

The tires seemed to be less than a 5% increase -- barely noticeable. The oil change improved my gas mileage from 23.5-24.3 to the present figure, about a 10% increase.

I'm amazed at this number and wonder if I'm catching nothing but tailwinds the last couple weeks. This is way outside the bell curve, and I don't drive like it's a Prius.

That mpg actually seems right. I get very good mpg on the highway but I stomp the gas pedal in the city so mine is lower. Here is what I get on the highway:

Bought mine January of 2009, been daily driving it the entire two years and five months I've owned it.

Have right at 35K on the odometer.

I get about 22-23 MPG.

Enjoying every minute of it!!

Bought at the end of July 2010, it has 4,600 miles on it and I average around 21-23mpg in mixed driving conditions. I see around 28-30mpg if I stay below 70 and am conservative with the throttle, can't complain.

That is pretty good. I wonder, though, how hard is it to keep it under 70? That feels like a crawl.

I bought mine with 25 miles on her, replaced engine at 2900, best mileage under break in was 17.4 MPG, now it is between 11.7-12.4 MPG on my daily 10 miles round trip.

I so rarely drive on the freeway, it is a topic of conversation if I hit 6th gear.

Got it May 09, has 27,300 and I typically get from 18-20 MPG.. Hardly ever anything better :). I alternate between it and the Max daily.

It can be challenging, and it rarely happens to be honest but it is always between 70-80 on the highway if there is no traffic which is not too often in Socal. No way I could go under 70 though, it requires too much discipline which I have very little of!
