What type of gas do you guys use for your 370z?
 

Just wondering what everybody uses and what's best gas for my 2011 370z?

93 octane for those that have it available. otherwise 91 will suffice

I tend to stick with Top Tier Gas. It meets a higher standard for the additives that help keep the engine cleaner from carbon deposits, etc...

Sunoco 93. Consistently provides best performance.

I never had any problem with my car pumpimg gas at Sam's, 93 Premium.

And on the way and back to ZdayZ was whatever Premium gas you could get.

91 and only real gas....no 10% ethanol if at all possible

And doesn't that suck. We still have a few here that offer real gas thank goodness.

I go to RaceTrac for 93 only ever since I watched a show on Good Morning America which showed a Shell station with a surprise inspection. The inspection showed that the "93" they were selling people was actually just "91.5". I watched it probably 2 months ago. It was owned by an Arab/Indian family in another state out west I believe.

RaceTrac's 93 passed the inspection.

I try to only go to the newest stations too in hopes of having "cleaner" fuel since everything is new.

Exactly. Sadly with ethanol every time. Two stations within 60 miles have non ethanol and I will not use a few gallons of gas to go get it either. See how I beat on my car.

I wonder how much fuel they gathered for the test. When you buy fuel at a pump with one nozzle that dispenses two or three octanes, everything left in the line from the prior purchase is what you will get until the pump starts sucking your choice. Basically, you'll get a hose length of low octane before getting your high octane. If the test conducted by Good Morning America only comprised 3-5 gallons, it is very concievable that the octane value in the test sample was lower than advertised. Without knowing how the test was conducted, the test could be misleading.

As to octane, it is only necessary to run a level that keeps the engine from pre-detonating (pinging). If your car does not suffer from pre-detonation at 91 octane, it is simply a waste of money to spend for a higher rating. Also, higher octane will do little/nothing for HP, torque, or engine performance.

Unfortunately, the neutered 91 octane we enjoy in CA. I have gone to the VP Racing distributor down the road from my house on occasion to throw in a couple gallons of race gas once in a while but that is about it.

I usually use Exxon here in MD. The Sunoco by my house has failed their inspection multiple times for not using gas with the advertised octane rating.

Ron 95 octane is the normal gas in Malaysia..my car drinks Shell V Power Ron 97 everyday..price @ RM 3.1/litre..about a dollar.
