I regret having my car totaled

Masa 05-12-2011 03:16 PM

I regret getting blue. I really want a white one now.

You could wrap it with vinyl

shadoquad 05-12-2011 03:19 PM

I regret paying for the color, because (a) I don't have a garage to park it in, so the coat is damaged, and (b) the next year they stopped charging for it.

Oh well.

Yeah! Maybe a couple years down when enough bird poo and bug guts eat into the clear and enough swirl marks have accrued - I could get the whole car wrapped in flat black or satin white.

That would be awesome

Tauruszguy 05-12-2011 04:10 PM

Regret trying to have sex in it... this car is for yoga instructors only! :icon23:

Love my FI exhaust and drop though

Cmike2780 05-12-2011 04:31 PM

I regret buying a new set of tires for the 18's instead of saving that cash for nicer wheels and tires.

I regret not getting the SP or 40th.

I regret installing the front chin spoiler. Damn thing scrapes on everything.

What are you talking about??? I had no problem. Oh, wait. You probably mean sex with another person involved. Nevermind.

chops 05-12-2011 08:57 PM

But I sure dont regret NOT putting a clear bra on before I did that...

Same thinking! I regret using aeroquip socket less hoses on my oil cooler, and I regret getting a clear bra, because it was a waste of money for the nine months I had the car before the hose failed and put me into a tire wall!

Mike 05-12-2011 09:40 PM

Oh yeah, and spilling and wasting a full beer on the passenger seat at zdayz last year

That is the gift that keeps on giving -- smell-wise.

gr8-wrx 05-12-2011 10:03 PM

Nothing yet... but I only have about 260 miles so far...

Baer383 05-12-2011 10:19 PM

The only thing I have regrets about is not having enough money to buy 2.

Alchemy 05-12-2011 10:28 PM

I regret waiting till the begining of spring to order my rims and tires. Cant drive her till they come cause my tires are beyond beat. Its painful to be driving my Explorer around still in this nice weather. To top it off I installed Stillen CBE & Gen3's a few weeks ago and havent even been able to enjoy em :(

One sport, one touring. Problem solved lol

HoneyBadger 05-13-2011 09:35 AM

I regret pulling up to close to a parking spot curb/thing the first week I had it.

LunaZ 05-13-2011 09:37 AM

I regret not buying a house with a 2-car garage.

I regret not doing the brake rotors, spacers, caliper swap, steel lines and springs all in one weekend so that I'm not repeating my work every time I install a new part.
I regret not doing HFC's when I put my FI CBE on.

I regret not living closer to an Uprev tuner.

UNKNOWN_370 05-13-2011 10:05 AM

I don't regret K23 but still want RAE

Footloose301 05-13-2011 10:26 AM

Theres not much I regret here. I love the look of my 40th. However, I really HATE the Bose stereo because it's harder to upgrade to an aftermarket Kenwood. Yes, the Bose sounds "ok" but I want a screen. I wish options were available on the 40th. I feel like I got shafted because you can't get the top of the line with NAV, and you can't get the Base stereo so it could be upgraded easily. I'm stuck in the middle which I think was the worst option.

Also, still on the fence about buying the FI 18" carbon exhaust. I think it sounds better than my HKS but my HKS looks so damn sexy and sits nice and high.

The lack of Nav option on the 40th never made sense to me.

ditto. I think they could have offered it with and without, but to totally leave it off the options list is puzzling.

When I had my '09 I regretted not getting a '10 because the color combo on the 40th is just drop-dead gorgeous. And the red interior.

Yeah, I wish I had an extra 5k to throw down at time of purchase. I'd have gotten a 40th.

Footloose301 05-13-2011 10:42 AM

Yeah, after my black 2009 decided to put itself into a tree I went to the local stealership and had my choice between 4 2009's with touring packages and then a 2010 40th. It was a no brainer.

Hambone1 05-13-2011 10:49 AM

The one guess (on a limb) I could make as to why they didn't even offer nav, was that being an anniversary model, as a tribute to models past that didn't have nav...they kept it old school? Sounds lame even typing it

The Canadian version has Nav and a rear wiper...

Welp, I guess you just have to hand it to the Canucks. Like I said, on a limb. A very thin limb

Greed 05-13-2011 02:31 PM

I regret passing up Touring + Nav

If they offered the 40th in a 7AT, I would have gotten it. Or if I could drive a manual.

Seriously? Are these cars off specs from the dealer lot?

I regret ever trying to go through a carbon fiber parts sponsorship. Nearly ruined the car forever.

Yes, stock specs are also bad.

Ok, thanks. I wonder if (for now) the dealer would be willing to give a courtesy alignment under warranty. Less than 1k miles on the car in about 6 weeks.
