I rushed and scratched my powder coat also, but my scratches are hid by the bumper. ;)

These could of been avoided with an HKS Hi Power exhaust!

Not as much gains as the FI exhaust but a lot quieter in cabin (close to stock at cruising speeds) and you can have a very good drop. HKS exhaust screams when you're WOT though.

I regret Buying the stillen supercharger first instead of the gtm supercharger

I dont think the 18" resonators are not too loud at all. They sound smooth and mellow at idle and when cruising and aggresive when you get on it, just like it should be.

I have heard the HKS in person... It sounds awesome. If I still had my Z and wanted to change things up I would definitely consider it.

FI exhaust is loud but it really depends on what speed you cruise at on the highway,if I go 70-75 yeah it's loud and over time would probably give me a headache but I cruise @80 so it is very quiet not much louder than stock.

So I guess it has allot to do with driving style.

Yeah definitely. In VA 80 is reckless, though, so I always had to keep it in the drone zone on the highway. I loved the sound, though.

In Atlanta 80mph is the norm any slower you really need to be in the right lane.:icon17:

It did in Canada :) Ya, I wouldn't like it either without

It's interesting there are so many F.I. exhaust regrets. I saw this coming, but the amount of hype and interest in those stupid exhausts was unbelievable. I think the 'FI exhaust is here' thread had about 300,000 hits.

I regretted not getting clear bra initially, but then I had an accident and got it installed with my new hood and fascia. Now, no regrets at all.

Stupid exhausts? I think they sound great, are well made, and offer great performance gains.

If you can live with the drone more power to you. If not, that's why we have options. :)

I'd call any hype'd exhaust stupid, as it's nothing more than an exhaust :).

If you look back to the original posts, the FI exhaust initially had a cult following, claiming and arguing that there is no drone, they're not too loud, and they never bottom out. As time has told, all three of those things have been issues for various owners.

I do like having options though. And if I didn't daily drive my car, maybe I'd have the FI exhaust.

:)

I know I got railed on a bit when I first reported drone. :p

Though my 18" resonators were never too loud outside the car and I never had bottoming issues (stock height).
