My best is that this is a viral marketing video. If that guy wanted to steal the car he'd be looking for a place to get out, or plow through the fence. Instead he was doing sweet as burnouts. It's a cool vid, but I think it was staged.

Totally staged. The timing on the cameras is a dead giveaway.

That simply ROCKED. When we say "drive it like you stole it," that's that **** we're talking about.

Exactly what I was about to say. The camera timing is even leading up to the theft, but when the heist starts, the cameras just happen to follow the action around the parking lot in a very coordinated way.

Well I can explain the camera thing, a bit, some systems have a screen in the system which monitors by motion. Therefore, when a camera has activity, where none was happening, it will prompt that camera on the screen and record it. Hence the ability to follow someone easily in something like this.

Though, it is fake because it is all too convenient all around.

Couldn't they have security guys at the monitor who control the cameras? We do.

The sound is more of a giveaway than anything else. A cctv system would/should never have sound. Although, any good security guard should be able to do the camera jockey stuff, and should notice someone enter (you look carefully and you seen the guy enter in cam 4 before it goes 5).

That looks clearly set up to me. This guy hops the fence looking for a 370z and just so happens to find one idling? And of course, a guy comes running around a blind corner JUST as he's closing the car door... Then he turns out to be a slightly fantastic driver? If it's not a setup then the moons really aligned to make this video happen.
