I know what they are doing, it's stupid, but they are not looking at the lines. They are so conditioned to be a certain distance from another vehicle, that they go by feel rather then by the lines. Bad parking for sure.

After looking at onzedge's pic I wonder if it would have helped to carry a couple of traffic cones in the Z to place on the white lines.
I also agree with CoolToy's analysis. Maybe in the same way people are conditioned - you can take advantage of latent traffic cone conditioning which generally indicates some form of warning and shake them back into a degree of situational awareness. Based on the photos I have seen here I am probably just being overly optimistic - chaos will always return to chaos. ha ha. |
