It depends. You can't get ticketed for parking across two spaces. It is not, as some commonly believe, "double parking". You can, however, be ticketed for an expired meter, parking in a no parking zone, parking up on a stop sign or fire hydrant, parking in a snow or fire lane, etc.

Spotted this jacka$$ immediately out front of the Randall's earlier this week. I have to say the handicap sticker is particularly humorous (or irritating depending on your point of view). Obviously this person isn't physically handicapped. I did not realize you could now get accessible parking permits for being retarded.

^^Haha, he took down that little pole.

I should have got more of the right hand side in the pic - there were 3 or 4 of those little pvc poles blocking off some wet cement. cant tell from the pic - but its a FULL parking garage. he took the 2 spots on the end.

Not all physical handicaps are externally visible. The person could have a heart condition or the like. Still, it's possible they were driving a handicapped friend's vehicle. Either way, no real excuse for parking across spots.

My comment is more just to poke fun at the handicap permit on the 8" lifted pick up truck - I understand it is possible it is completely legitimate. I actually specialize in accessibility codes (ADA and Texas Accessibility Standards specifically), and there are a number of requirements that people just don't get because they don't understand that being disabled doesn't necessarily = wheelchair. I believe a hearing impairment is actually sufficient to qualify for a handicap placard in some states.

They didn't even try. Luckily I found some spots protected by cement pillars on either side so I don't need to worry any more, but this is the same Safeway that this crap happened at:

(Everything's been repaired and I had the bumper resprayed while they were at it, so it looks better than new.)
