So this just happened.

Caught him as he was getting out of the vehicle. OLD guy, maybe 85+. At first he tried disputing the fact that he made contact. Really?!

Luckily I got his ins. We both have USAA. They're taking care of it.

AMAZINGLY after I very carefully backed out, the only damage was a scuff on the mirror, and front quarter panel has paint damage. I thought it was going to be WAY worse.

Dzel 04-07-2012 07:34 PM

I would of lost it I don't care how old he is what if there was a kid there. If he can't pay attention to a simple parking job where your driving forward imagine him on a residential street with kids playing soccer or something and the ball goes in the road and some poor kid runs after it

Face 04-07-2012 07:41 PM

Dude had a hard time just standing. He refused to give me insurance until I called the the police, then while on the phone with them I walked him to the front and showed that they were still touching. Then he gave it to me. He also requested mine... I laughed out loud. Then watched as he could barely write it down, his hand was shaking so badly, not due to stress or my presence, just old as balls.

He was borderline senile. I was livid, furious, but my cooler head prevailed and I'll get it repaired as soon as I'm back from my biz trip next week.

Frankly, I'm amazed at how little apparent damage there is, but I'll let the experts at the repair facility of my choice decide what needs to be done.

SPOHN 04-07-2012 08:24 PM

Holy sh!t. I'd have to go crazy on that. That's just insane there.

delusional 04-07-2012 08:41 PM

:wtf: that is insane. i'd lose my cool no matter how old the dude was

m4a1mustang 04-07-2012 09:02 PM
