Something like, 'hey listen, not sure if you know this but I take a lot of pride in my car and I'd appreciate it if you tried to knock off the dirt on your shoes first before getting in. Thanks'.

Just my .02.

yah, but you see, this is common sense for people that respect other's things.

shouldn't have to label everything like stupid coffee cups "caution hot" NO-SHITTO!!! :icon17:

If you drive c for c car and keep it trashy looking inside and outside, I won't be careful getting in and out but, if I see you keep your ride clean in or out, I will be cautious on my way in and out just like it was my own.

Just some common courtesy and common sense.

if it's that big of a deal buy all weather floor mats.. damn

I love the thick rubber floor mats in the subie. Although the seats are a PITA to clean.

i hate all weather mats because they turn white/sand color when dirt hits it.

even worse is salt. i dont mind it in my dd's but not for my G or Z. berber mats FTW! :D

Pull out the carpet and clean it later, simple as that. I wouldn't toss a friendship over a dirty little carpet that can be cleaned in minutes. Maybe if you had said something, he might be more mindful next time.

i would careless to spend time with people like that though (hense dumping my girl). the basic values are too different and too much of a burden to teach every little thing.

I guess some do, but the mats in my subie still look black.

I'm not going to toss a friendship, but we'll be taking his McDonald's littered floorboard keeping Dodge Ram to lunch next time!:icon17:

hummm... i use to have a pos legacy (bought new) and dealer gave me factory all weather mats. it was no different from the other factory rubber mats i use... they all turn white-ish when dirt/salt gets on it from the shoes.

if you have clean shoes im sure it will stay black...

Solution: Just give your passengers little shoe-bags to put on before entry!!
