Why do I love my Z?

So many times has the Z been compared to American muscle cars, you know the drill. Doing some rough math there were 13,000 '09s sold, about 10,000 '10s and a few thousand '11s. Thats less than 30.000 cars sold of this model.
How many Mustangs or Camaros of any flavor does Detroit make? A shitload more a day probably. No matter what your reason for owning one, is most likely that it's unique.Thats' the top reason why I love my Z!:tiphat:

The other night on the way home from work (about 15 miles) I passed 4 yellow Camaros. I am sure there were others, but I actually counted the yellow ones.

Way too many on the road.

The less Z, the more unique.

Less is good!

sonic370 04-23-2011 07:32 PM

it does make it a special car. and the Z does attract attention where ever
it goes. i was coming out of target today walking toward my car. safely parked
a good distance from the entrance when i noticed to young guys checking her out. what made me nervous was that they had their buggy just a little to close
for comfort it will make you paranoid..................

OldGuy 04-23-2011 07:50 PM

Z styling is simply breathtaking. 'Nuff said...

Gixxer2k4 04-23-2011 07:53 PM

I love its fat azz, plus i think it looks the best.

Nismo89 04-23-2011 08:03 PM

Sometimes its good to be few.

The Few....the proud.....the Z.

Baer383 04-23-2011 08:09 PM

I love it cause it's mine.:roflpuke2:

Lemers 04-23-2011 08:14 PM

I like that that it still feels kinda cool and special when I see another one on the road. I've lost that feeling with the new camaros and latest mustangs.

AlphaSnacks 04-23-2011 08:16 PM

Pretty sure the current Camaro and Mustang are averaging over 100K in combined annual sales. There are ~150K new Camaros sold now. Nevermind how many Mustangs are running around.

c41006 04-23-2011 08:38 PM

Ya I enjoy not seeing a whole bunch of Zs around town ( saw 4 today though :shakes head: )

Lemers 04-23-2011 08:40 PM

4 compared to what 50 mustangs and 40 camaros?

sheps58 04-23-2011 08:41 PM

Why

Great styling aluminum hood, hatch and doors. Carbon fibre drive shaft xenon headlights. Porsche handling handsome car. Reliable easy to maintain.

I once owned a E-Type Jaguar. I loved that car. but I adore the 370z. I think it is a modern classic.

PapoZalsa 04-23-2011 08:44 PM

I love the Heritage of the Z!

Your right. It was just really weird to see 4 in one day when I can usually go weeks without seeing another Z

I was shocked last week when I pulled up next to a 370. I have seen maybe 12 - 15 total on the road. 350z's are easy to spot and Camaros/Mustangs -- geez. They breed like rabbits.

Nismo89 04-24-2011 10:34 AM

i saw a white 370z driving on route 40 yesterday ahead of me, i got excited lol and sped up to get beside it while driving to give the driver a big thumbs up, a older looking woman was driving, didnt look over at mine tho lol, but i thought it was really cool to have two Z's riding side by side on the highway for once (first time for me this had happened)

That was not a pretty picture that just popped into my head :eekdance:

:icon18: Sorry about that...

Hambone1 04-24-2011 02:59 PM

As long as they don't breed with Rabbits, that's how the Versa came into being...(sarcasm for those who will take that seriously)

gr8-wrx 04-24-2011 03:26 PM

Zs are pretty unique around here too.

DrEvil 04-24-2011 03:52 PM

Just drove back to Jersey from lower Delaware and the only Z that I saw was mine. The Camaros, Challengers/Chargers and Mustangs were tntc (too numerous to count).
As I said at the start she's unique- and has a great *** as some posted earlier.

cfweber 04-24-2011 04:14 PM

it's the moves

same as J Lo

:tiphat:

FromG2Z 04-24-2011 11:11 PM

^ ewwww I hate J Lo.

On topic... The in your face sexy shape, the SRM, the handling, the Nismo Ti shift knob, the Rays forged rims, the pearl white paint, the looks I get on the road and in the parking lot, the Invidia CBE :)

Lemers 04-24-2011 11:58 PM

Recently I drove from El Paso to Omaha and back and the first 370Z I saw the whole week was a blue one when we got back into El Paso.

roplusbee 04-25-2011 06:33 AM

I wanted a Z since I was a kid..........got one now. Funny thing is that there are quite a few Zs on base, but only a handful are 370Zs. A guy in my unit has an 08 NISMO. He keeps trying to convince me to upgrade my wheels so he can get the stockers, lol.

Singapore got only 230 "Z",so more unique here.

GZ3 04-25-2011 08:56 AM

gee i wonder why there are more american cars in america

m4a1mustang 04-25-2011 09:04 AM

I loved my Z (and still love the Z) because of:

- Heritage. Like the Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, etc. the heritage of the Z can be traced back many decades. It has a lot of character.
- Styling... unique and distinctly "Z."
- Handling... I could get about 85% of the feel and performance of a Porsche Cayman S for over $20,000 less at the time I bought mine.

Econ 04-25-2011 09:57 AM

i've seen <12 on the road since they came out in '09.

the head turner aspect is by far my favorite part of owning this vehicle.

onzedge 04-25-2011 10:07 AM

I love my Z for many reasons -- one of the biggest is that I never have to worry about that pesky extra cash laying around because she demands I use it on mods and upgrades (and gas).

Colbizle 04-25-2011 11:59 AM

Honestly... I have never seen a 370z in Minneapolis, St. Paul or even in the metro area and I drive all over. I've seen them at dealerships and I have seen 350z s but not a single 370z yet:confused:

Booger 04-25-2011 12:10 PM

It's so rare. I've seen six since november 2009!

Roy 04-25-2011 12:25 PM

I agree, rare is awesome. I've been asked if I was driving a Ferrari! :p
