I am a little paranoid about new stuff too, but I was fine with driving my new 370Z without the thin paper film on the car. It was raining/snowing on the day I picked up my car so nothing could prevent it from being fresh off the trailer. When the salesperson brought me to the covered lot where my Z was sitting, it was just an awesome moment seeing it there by itself in the corner of the lot.
