unfortunately i had the jealousy factor problem with my car. the first weekend after i bought it i washed and waxed it and took it to the drag strip and when i backed into the parking space i didnt straighten my wheels up and someone seen this guy walk by it and kick my wheel. i now have a deep 1 inch scratch on the edge on my front wheel. :shakes head:

It's quite interesting and funny to see your pic... Z - Camaro - Mustang. Same order as what happened to me at work. :rofl2:

He replies yea, are you the guy who found it necessary to park next to me even though there were 100 other open spaces?

I was perplexed and couldn't believe his response.. I did it because he was parked in the corner by himself, right where I would of chose to park , and figured hey why not park next to another nice car, ... this guy came off like he was in a Bentley and I parked next to him in some awful pos car with huge doors. like how would I dare think to park next to him...

I said something along the lines of I don't know what you think you are driving, but being a fellow car enthusiast with basically the same car but with two doors, you know I wouldn't ding your precious doors, just as I didn't think you would ding mine, and thought it was cool to park next to another nice car..

his response " I parked there so no cars parked next to me, you ruined that"

If i park by myself and another nice car parks next to me, I smile and enjoy that someone else is as anal as me .... its a normal thing to do imo.

Sometimes I regretted selling my G35 for a G37. Not because it was a bad car. But when I would go on the G forums they all acted like a bunch of little faqqot prissy girls who thought they were better than everyone. I hated being on there listening to so much elitist garbage.
I wanted my G35 people back. They were real enthusiasts. It was like a few positive car and driver reviews brought on a new group of owners with no passion for the heritage. Just happy that there cars were a few grand more expensive than there neighbors and faster. Most members were ex Used Car- Bimmer owners that saw F&F waaaay too many times. That's pretty much why I spent my time on here. People here were way more grounded. U get the occasional chump on here who thinks the Z is a ferrari 458 italia but most here are grounded and kool.
the G is an awesome car. And its performance is superb for its class. But in terms of luxury. A mercedes C300 will provide twice the luxury at its 39k pricepoint than the G at a 44k pricepoint. At the end of the day the G is a glorified Nissan. I'm a skyline enthusiast just as much as I am a Z enthusiast but a spade is a spade. People that pretend otherwise are truly douche scumbags.

Too bad one of those wasn't a Miata. Miata doors don't leave dings; they don't get dings either.

.

Lol I actually compared the doors last week at the dallas auto show. I had to based on that guys remarks... Lol. the quality is the same. The difference in sound actually comes from how the sound is dissipated from convertible to coupe. Lol and as far as closing more sure. They close the same exact way. The miata door is slightly more weighted though its smaller. It can just feel that way cuz the doors are smaller?
I really didn't understand those stupid comments. Lol. Talk about having your own agenda! Which member made those statements anyway?:roflpuke2: I keep forgetting.

did it take much practice backing in. i would be concerned about hitting curb each time with the rear tires. plus around here some jerks would consider that
as showing off and might key your car.

i have visited several car forums over the years, 350,370,corvette,g35 g37
and for whatever reason this forum seems to show the most class and respect.
for other people and their cars. though the vette forums where close............

Hambone1 04-17-2011 08:38 PM

I agree with Sonic. I used to be pretty involved on an Audi forum prior to getting the Z, and there was just non stop **** talking, bragging, etc. Even from guys driving A3's and base A4's.

I park the same way you park. If Im at the very edge of the parking lot, I'd have about 25%-33% of my car hanging out on the edge so the car parking next to me have enough space to safely park/open their doors :driving:

kenchan 04-17-2011 11:23 PM

wat pisses me off more is when im at a full parking lot downtown and find a pos scooter taking up one full space. :D

Most people here are the first owners of the vehicles they drive. As that number goes up over time, the culture will change. This forum is for just one edition of a long line of cars and it's early in that vehicles lifecycle.

The sexual tension between him and the owner of that red car is pretty interesting to observe as well.

I heard he has a giant pen15.

What IS a pen15, anyway? Is that like a #2 pencil? I dont know, but it sounds like I'd enjoy it.
