If you can afford an Audi R8 which is about 140-150k, I seriously doubt you are worried about the gas, insurance, tires, or maintenance. If you are worried about all that, then you obviously cannot afford it.

That is how I do it..You don't even look at the price...You just fill up..:tiphat:

+1....... I like where heads at.

LOL. That's called 'safety in numbers'.

Yeah, it seems to be happening more and more to me too. Expecially if it appears there will be no way out of others parking next to you as the parking lot fills up. They just know you'll respect their car because you have a nice one too.

Now, we don't have Ferrari's or I'd be pissed because then it's obvious you don't want anyone parking within a mile of your ride.

I've learned to understand it. At first my wife was like .... what are they thinking? She parks her Maxima out far not to get dings and such and people park up close to her. They've hit her car twice though. Someone that doesn't know how to really park. One of those lady BMW'ers / Benz owners I guess.
Not sure why, I know no one has a axe to grind with the wife as everyone loves her. She's a cutie pie.

FYI - 2011 Mystic Jade / Tan Leather VQ35 CVT- It looks better than a Masaratti in our opinion and gets twice the mileage. Gets as many compliments as the Z gets. It always get me by surprise when someone asks about the car. Generally Acura, Benz, BMW owners .... :excited:

The Maxima is such a nice car that it tempted me back into a Z. I wish Nissan had the Z in this color combo. If they do later.... I'm trading.

I guess it's true. Nice cars do park together for safety. lol. I parked next to the S2000 because he had a nice car and I figured he wouldn't ding me. But when I came out of Lowe's I also had an old school 240Z parked in front of me. :happydance:

Preettty sick, around here it seems like people will not park next to you if its nice. Well most of the time. The other day there was one of those nascar replica looking chevy impala i think? A 2door.

I came out of a local restaurant (after parking at the extreme end of lot) and found a Jaguar parked right next to me-I was pleased...he obviously assumed i would be respectful because of what i was driving-And he was correct. Should have snapped a pic...dang:-):p

They just want to bask in your reflected glory. Like plain girls hanging out with beauty queen.

That really did make me laugh out loud!

But I wouldn't call a 240 a "plain girl". The 240 might be old school, but I would rock that thing all day long. Classic's never go out of style. :driving:

I definitely seize the opportunity to park next to nice cars, especially well taken care of sports cars. I think there's a mutual respect that extends beyond brands. You know as long as you leave an adequate amount of space, you have little to worry about regarding door dings.

Now, we should establish what constitutes a "nice car" that should essentially lead to a fear-free parking experience...

New mustang v6?
No. That could be a spoiled high school kid (esp where I live)

Perfectly polished Shelby?
Probably a safe bet.
