I don't hit the rev limiter but I see the shift light a couple of times during my drives.

Me either, just a red flashing light*. Just before my short block replacement I hit it a lot (just because it I didn't have to live with the consequences). It always cut in as I was about to shift anyway so it never caught me off guard when the throttle cut out.

I can count on two hands the number of times I've gone to red line. It's not necessary. There's no power to be had beyond 7k unless your modded and tuned.

It depends on what you are using the car for.

If you are going to bible school or church then I wouldn't hit the rev limiter.

But if you track the car or drive it like a real sports car then you will hit the rev limiter quite a bit.:driving:

I hit it the first time two days ago after reading this thread.

Good to know that little red dot in the tachometer works.
